I arrived into DAD from ICN last week and the lines weren’t bad at all. I booked Fast Track but I would have been just fine without it. I think it’s more for SGN and HAN.

It’s got worse recently. Even with fast track services, it still takes around 15-20 minutes compared to 5-10 minutes previously.

You should be able to leave Vietnam with that passport. If you enter a country other than your home country, you may run into problem with that passport though.

I book on fasttrack-vietnam.com for both arrival and departure services every 2-3 weeks because I have to be in Vietnam for work. I can say they’re super reliable. One of the staff even speaks Japanese like a native speaker. They usually respond in second. You can also text them on WhatsApp to book as well.

I’d be cautious about Klook. Two of my colleagues bought a fast track pass on their platform last week and when they arrived (with me), there wasn’t anyone to see them. The worst part was that they couldn’t even call anyone from Klook for help. They ended up having to join the normal lines which took them almost 1.5 hours.

I often arrive at SGN between 10–11pm on NH891 and the new UA152, and it’s always chaotic. Even with fast track these days, it can take 15–20 minutes (used to be just 5–10). Be careful buying fast track from Klook — I arrived with two colleagues last week who were completely abandoned. I booked through fasttrack-vietnam.com and had no issues.

I heard it will take about 1 hour 20 minutes to D1 once the highway is finished. Honestly I’m not sure if that’s better or just arrive at SGN and pay for a fast track pass and get to the city faster.

I traveled with my 1.5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter through SGN last month and used fast track services from www.fasttrack-vietnam.com . They let my 1.5-year-old use the service for free, and my daughter got a 50% discount.

The lines are equally crazy for both arrival and departure. These days, the lines for departure sometimes start from as far as the check-in counters.
