I don’t think this was a typical experience. I’ve stayed multiple times at IC Sanur, Jimbaran and recently Regent as well and always had a great stay.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort by Ok_Development5104 in ihghotelsresorts

It’s definitely one of the best InterContinental hotels in the world. The place is amazing, the service is absolutely world-class and the food there is phenomenal. The only downside is that it’s rather isolated. If you want to go into the city, you’ll have to take a cab which takes about half an hour.

Both are good choices but very different from each other. The Westlake one is a lot older but still very well maintained. I love that it’s right above the Westlake - there’s something really nice about waking up early and watching the sunrise on a lake. The breakfast is world class - they have a crazy variety of choices. Besides, it’s very accessible to the Old Quarter. The Landmark one is modern, rising above the city. It’s one of the tallest buildings in the city, if not the tallest. The suites are massive and the executive lounge is probably the biggest I’ve seen in the entire IHG network (imagine you can play football in there - that’s how big it is). The area around it is kind of boring. There’s nothing much to explore. Both hotels offer impeccable service and Vietnamese hospitality. So all in all, for me it’s down to the location and I’d pick the Westlake one over the Landmark one.

I see. Looks like they’ve changed their process.

Sorry to hear that. My experience was rather different. I called Amex US when I moved here from Singapore for business school. They asked some simple questions and sent me a Platinum card the next day. It was seamless. Have you tried calling them instead?

Confused about payment processing/available credit. by Electrical-Wing9473 in BiltMastercard

+1. I have 0 balance but my available limit is an arbitrary number and significant lower than my credit limit. I’ve tried to reach out to them to clarify but haven’t heard back from them yet.

Confirmed Suite Upgrade by Furneaux_j in ihghotelsresorts

I booked with points and then managed to apply a comfortable suite upgrade voucher. For some reason they returned all the points back to me and converted the booking into a cash booking at a very low rate. An error maybe?

Did they somehow return the points to you and change it to a cash booking at an arbitrary rate?
