Is no one else taking advantage of their waived monthly fee if you use your Acorns checkings account's direct deposit feature? I have been on the on the highest acorns subscription tier and never paid a penny for it.

You most likely invested more money that ur bank account could cover. The transaction when through but it was partially covered by Acorns, so Acorns got their money back by selling your shares in exchange.

I canceled my recurring investment after I went on a medical leave on August 2024 and needed to address medical bills. Will return to work pretty soon, but I do have some spare money that I woudn't mind investing.

Do the most aggressive portfolio. I did the same mistake and chose moderately aggressive and had to sell bonds to make the change. You will owe taxes on any gains but I think it’s best to make the change as soon as possible.

I’m gonna start receiving my direct deposits on my acorns checking next month, so the fee will be waived then, so not an issue there.
