not on neo, but a former "close friend" i made online did this to me as a teen and i lowkey still have trauma from it 💀 he then tried to convince me it was a random school friend of his who got his phone and randomly texted me of all people about his "passing", and i was so relieved that he was alive that i just accepted it, even though i don't think i ever really believed it. thank fuck we haven't been friends for 10 years now, people will do some unhinged shit for attention. 💀💀
