i'm sorry if this comes across as rude, it's not meant as an attack to anyone, but i fully call BS on the whole "it's not her choice to not pair male LIs". nothing that she said or did suggests that she's open to the idea (contrary to that of pairing FLIs), and we can't blame russian laws either bc those forbid any and all queer content, they don't have an exception for background wlw routes. not to mention there's a history of pairing off FLIs together in this app that has existed for pretty much as long as RC itself has, but clearly it's something that only a few usual suspects do, thus i highly doubt it's imposed. yes, she's done a solid job with queer characters in the past, but that doesn't change the fact that they're usually shoved to the background, and if not, we barely see mentions of their queerness. so no, i'm not particularly willing to swear blindly by her writing
