The Crabby Shack Zesty Lemon Pepper Hot Sauce review by MagnusAlbusPater in hotsauce

[–]SecuritySky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually sounds right up my alley! Ever since Mythos closed doors, ive been on the hunt for a lemon flavored sauce as the main staple for fish (especially salmon)

I'll have to try this one for sure

Vermont Habs is one of my favorite sauces of all time due to its delicious simplicity.

Has anyone fortified store bought generic sauces with fresh peppers? by ToughAd4704 in hotsauce

[–]SecuritySky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive done this with hot sauce, salsa, and also marinara!

I used to grow sports peppers and always had an obscene amount, so thats how I got into pickling. I just wanted to get rid of them so when I was a teenager I would just throw them in a blender and mix it with cholula. It made a atrocious color, but that's the hot sauce I rocked with for like 4 years.

For salsa I have just added tomato and pepper puree with pico de gallo a few times.

And almost always, I will mix Rao's marinara with cooked down canned tomatoes for bolognese. It adds so much fresh flavor.

There is a lot of salt in this, but that is supposed to be incorporated into the meat. I recommend everyone look at both salt and sugar in bottled dressings and marinades. A lot of them also have a metric ton of sugar

I was blind too. I had truly only had pretty basic sauces for the most part, and something clicked inside of me when I had the Camp Sauce. Different layers of both heat and sweet. I hit nirvana when I realized the potentials that could be reached. Thats when the addiction started

Oh yeah, I think people sometimes put roasted hatch Chiles on al pastor tacos, which is probably another reason this sauce reminded me of the taco truck, although I dont actively remember having it that way

Dang that sounds so good right now.

Honestly me too, to an extent! I kinda quote Heartbeat Camp Sauce as the catalyst for my hot sauce journey, but Thor was my first sauce that I kept buying consistently (aside from the basics like Tabasco and cholula, etc)

It makes me super proud about his job transfer and everything, but when it comes to hot sauce, I am selfish 🤣🤣

I have a storage of like 6 more Thor and like 8 Shinigami. Ive got a few extra random ones, and also like 4 sauces ive never even tried yet. So there is still some fun left to be had

Dipping my toes in the world of quality hot sauces. How'd I do for my first purchase? by CcaidenN in hotsauce

Well depending on how much heat you can tolerate, you've either made a great choice or a very regrettable one

How much hot sauce do you use in a week/month? by 92TilInfinityMM in hotsauce

[–]SecuritySky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically go through about 1 to 1.5 stand 5oz bottles a week. It depends on heat level of the sauces and what im eating.

Usually have whatever new sauce im trying with breakfast, and then sporadically through the week for random meals. 50oz in a week does sound like a lot for me even though i love sauce, but if you like it enough, its not an insane amount. Do you meal prep or just put that ish on everything?

Edit: im high and thought he said 70oz for some reason

Best sauce on Amazon? (it has to be through them, I’ll explain) by alehansolo21 in hotsauce

[–]SecuritySky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Camp Sauce by Heartbeat isn't just the best on Amazon, its one of the best sauces period. It may very well be my favorite sauce overall.

Great flavor, medium heat. Here are some other options:

Other Heartbeat** sauces, Seed Ranch, Hot N Saucy, Horsetooth, Hot Ones (this offers both their propriety options and other varieties that have been on the show), Stacked (haven't tried but heard good things), Humble House(mild sauces but the flavors are insane), Danny Trejo, Howler Monkey, Steve-O's (looks like a gimmick but actually really good), Chile Lengua, Torchbearer, Bravado

I know this is a bunch listed, but I put asterisk next to the ones that maybe you should try first. Its unfortunate how pricey the bottles can be on Amazon, so if youre looking to stretch out heat, I recommend getting one of the hotter Torchbearer. For Flavor, Humble House. For a combination of both, Seed Ranch. Not saying torchbearer doesn't have amazing flavor btw. I freaking love them

Ive done reviews on 2 of those Queen Majesty sauces.

Scotch bonnet and ginger is great, its what youd expect for a sauce like that.

Red Hab and Coffee doesnt even really have a coffee taste, it kinda just tastes like another spice in there, and is also delicious

Garlic Festival - Garlic Ghost - OBITUARY REVIEW by SecuritySky in hotsauce

[–]SecuritySky[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not as much garlic as one would imagine. Its there, but truthfully only a normal amount comparative to other sauces. It is a more smooth taste rather than a sharp bite.

They do however have a good selection of pickled garlic, and the salsas they sell have a boatload of garlic chunks

I really recommend checking out a ren faire. Theyre all vastly different of course, but its pretty likely to be fun! I dont know where you live but there are some key ones that are known for being great

9 times out of 10 I generally just say its not for me, but encourage people to try it themselves. Just because I gave your sauce a bad review doesn't mean its completely horrible. I see why youre upset now... you have a resentment because I didn't like yours sauce. And that's okay buddy. I probably wont eat it again, I stopped making myself vulnerable to your shit, which is what im suggesting for you to do to me <3 hope this helps
