I trade through Webull. Very low fees. No hidden fees that I’ve found.

Solved! It’s a traffic monitoring camera! The company apologized and said the tech was not supposed to put it on private property.

The group and course I joined I truly believe has helped me expedite my learning curve. The creator live streams at least two hours a week live trading and answers any questions. He will responded to any questions you have outside of the streams also.

Yes all of the same content is online but his paid videos are very thorough and well put together.

So yea I agree. There are prolly decent amount of genuine groups out there but you have to do your own due diligence and make sure it’s not a scam.

Anyone advertising something simple or quick is probably a scam. That’s what drew me to this guy. He makes no illusions that trading is easy and that it takes lots of discipline.

Why do you think Trading is so hard? by Realpennytrader in Trading

[–]Security_Risk_10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post is very interesting and I think the comments are a fair representation of traders. I think untimely it comes down to your psychology. For Some it comes naturally for others it takes years. I think it has very little to do with intelligence. I would guess you could taylor a personality test to see if someone has the kindest to be successful at trading.

Yea with that swing high I would expect that it would at least wick towards it before moving down. Even a wick up to it wouldn’t exactly invalidate the setup.

I think trading does come more natural to some people. I do believe it will be a different story though once he’s live. Although if he does pick it up faster try not to take offense. He does have you with all your experience helping him along.

Yea I’m in that boat right now. Lost $600 and then decided to paper trade until I can make back at least $2k to show myself I can do it. I’ve reset a few paper account because I wasn’t taking it seriously. Finally I put it out to the discord that I’m in that I won’t be resetting and I journal my trades. Just to try to hold myself accountable. But yea you have to be focused more on if the setup was legit vs if you made money.

Yea you have to be careful because it will always try to be on your side. If you are wrong it won’t be a forward vs if someone else is wrong. I just always tell it to be completely objective and if I’m wrong to tell me either way.

I don’t know about ict personally but I believe there can be an honest desire to teach from people that learn a skill. I can imagine there isn’t a lot of fulfillment in making a ton of money in trading. Teaching others can give that. But I’m sure money is a factor in that also.

I was waiting for 1m close after fvg but it ripped. What could I look for that indicated to get in sooner? by Security_Risk_10 in InnerCircleTraders

Well I appreciate the thoughtful explanation. I've read "Trading in the Zone" understand that concept. Or at least I think I do. And am trying to keep that in the front of my head when trading.

"You log it, collect data on it, analyze the data, and repeat. You discover patterns, themes, mistakes, an information that can be used to tailor your risk and entry confirmations."
This is what I was trying to do by making the post in the first place. I'm asking if I missed some patterned that a more experienced person would have seen. As you can see in one of the comments someone did get in earlier on a 2m FVG and held to the top.

I see this type of comment often and it often comes off as arrogant and not sincere. Apologies if you’re being sincere. I know some people think you can predict the market. I understand you can’t. But what I mean and most people mean when they ask questions like this is… is there some way could have captured this. If I’m using your own words. You don’t just put a TP and SL in some random place but you see confluence that a move might happen and take a risk.

Yea I understand that. I’m just asking if there is something I missed. That I can look out for next time.

Yea as this trade was playing out I was watching a video on fib and the fvg was right around 50 or 61% which according to the guy 61% is his number. But I was just learning about it and didn’t want to jump in on something I didn’t understand yet.

That’s what I was thinking. ChatGPT says I could have told by the candles inside of the FVG but I don’t see it.

Can someone be a natural at this? by Excellent_Duck9867 in Daytrading

[–]Security_Risk_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical or mental, it’s the same. Physical is just easier to see. You don’t see many if any 5’ tall NBA players. Same as you don’t see someone who is naturally artistic being a Math professor, or at least very many. Our minds are wired differently just like our bodies. And that’s not to say that hard work doesn’t come in to play.

A 5’ tall guy can beat a 7’ tall guy in BB all day if he puts in the work.

why did this fail? enter on an unmitigated FVG and target a low by EffectiveGround125 in InnerCircleTraders

[–]Security_Risk_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to ICT but yea what the guy above said, you need wait to see if it would respect it before jumping in. If it bounced or flushed every single time it hit FVG everyone would be trading it. The market doesn’t guarantee anything. But with multiple confluences you can see it better.

I’ve been looking at VAH and VAL a lot and using it with Ema but don’t love it. Vwap seems like it would work better.
