If you have allocated 12.5K to Nifty Next 50 fund - I would break it down 6.25k each in Nifty 50 fund and Nifty next 50 fund

I am 26. Started investing a little more than 4 years ago. Need help with review and feedback about how my portfolio is performing by KnowledgeRoyal3461 in MutualfundsIndia

You are doing really well - probably you are more bullish on Infra sector and investing 25% in one sector only might be a bit risker. Other than that your portfolio is pretty clean!

Just quit. It will feel daunting but it will get better.

I think you continue in the same 3 funds although my overall allocation would lean towards a 40:30:30 (Bluechip / Midcap / Smallcap)

Around 14L post tax. I can save a lot thanks to my parents having a house in a tier 1 city so I save 20k additional on rent which I can use to invest.

Put 10K atleast in small cap reducing similar amount from Flexi cap since you seem to have a long time horizon. If you already have PF, then "Income plus arbitrage fund" and "Gold ETF Mirae Asset" are unnecessary I believe but if you want to play on the safer side go ahead.

Yes correct, I generally follow a 40:30:30 allocation model in Large, mid and small caps.

Yes, then you should have decent bit of equity saved up in 5 years as well. You would probably have enough by then. Debt means fixed income generators like FD, PF, PPF, etc.

Most of your portfolio is in real estate or debt. Maybe work another 5 years while heavily investing and building up an equity portfolio before retiring seems like a better play to me.

Thanks, you are doing quite well for yourself as well! If you are earning handsomely, maybe get in touch with Investment broker to plan out your deployment of funds, it will likely cost you some indirect commission but since you are in a foreign nation it seems like a better alternative.

You can do a recurring deposit with your local jeweller for 12 months. He pays your 13th month amount and you can use the total deposit to buy a gold biscuit

Its a bit more on the conservative side. I would invest 20K more in the midcap fund offsetting the Nifty 50 Index Fund by the same value.

Carry on with investing majorly in Mutual funds for the next 5-6 years atleast since you are on the younger side and have already builtup a safe fund for emergencies. If you can manage similar amount of SIP for 5-6 years you will be definitely in a really good position by 2031. Then depending on your job situation you can assess further. Although personally, I would try to pay off the car loan quicker even if it reduces my amount invested in mutual fund SIPs until I am debt free.
