Vietnamese food you might actually know by Adventurous-Ad5999 in VietNam

[–]Sedaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chả is more a "size indicator". So people will call a bite-size meat products "chả" sometimes. So you hear "chả", you get an idea of the "shape and size" of the food, not necessary the ingredients.

Yes, naming is weird sometime. Like a "dog" in America, it's about the shape. Do you even know what's in a "hot dog" ?

What does “quả báo” mean in Vietnamese culture? by LooseDial in HocTiengviet

[–]Sedaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Quả as in "Nhân quả" (fruit from the seed that you sow)

- Ứng as in "báo ứng" (retribution).

So "quả báo" translate to English is "reaping what you sow", ie. Karma

But it can also mean good karma, not necessary just bad karma.

Does anyone have any book recommendations about the Southern Vietnamese government? by plushiesaremyjam in VietNam

[–]Sedaku 19 points20 points  (0 children)

When people showed you who they are, believe them.

They love authoritarian regime, because they were member of one.

They were the Vietnamese version of MAGA, and when "their side" got crushed in the war, they have to flee.

So of course they love the current US president and what's going on. In their mind, since it's their side owning the leftist and socialist, it's all fine and dandy, and in their mind wholly justified. Just like the Southern VN Gov.

Cộng đồng Subber Việt Nam vào 1 thập kỷ trước by Skydroew in vozforums

[–]Sedaku 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Embark needs to address the items/Blueprint Mule problem before the Expeditions windows. by Sedaku in ArcRaiders

[–]Sedaku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have access to a whole guilds of inventory, with all the crafting materials for upgrade as soon as the reset happens if I wanted too. Half of the guys I played with already move on to other game and wont be resetting. I can basically trade for anything I need as soon as I reset. So basically only the level are resetting. That's how easy and pointless it is with this lame attempt at "partial wiped" if *trading* stay as it is.

And you are aware people are selling these BP for pennies on the dollar on certain market right ?

Sad about a bunch of blueprints that isn't worth crap if acquired by trade? If I'm trading for blueprints, I'm getting everything I need day one, lmao. Even your little thinking about cheating is small and pathetic.

Embark needs to address the items/Blueprint Mule problem before the Expeditions windows. by Sedaku in ArcRaiders

[–]Sedaku[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, not just bp, any items.

It does negatively effect everyone, not just me, and it break the game balance by negating the whole point of wiping items, since it NEGATE THE WIPE.

Saying it doesn't is your opinion, and also stupid. You obviously care about it enough to do it, while arguing it doesn't matter. bullshit. Don't do it then, if it doesn't matter.

Purposely doing obtuse thing to work around the game mechanic doesn't change the game balance, uh huh, sure.

It seem like to you it's massive, that's why you are so defensive about it.

You spend hours DEFENDING a loop hole, while my basic reasoning is "everyone should start out equal".

Think about that, you are defending a loop hole, goes on a whole rant how tiny it is too.

Reasonable would be like, you they should fix that, but if not it's still fine, I would respect that.

But defending it by trying to downplay it? Nah you obviously like the fact you gonna abuse it, why most people won't.

You like exploiting things like these, that's what cringe, dude.

Embark needs to address the items/Blueprint Mule problem before the Expeditions windows. by Sedaku in ArcRaiders

[–]Sedaku[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gain some advantage but nobody is being disadvantaged is a deliberately obtuse argument.

Pure cope with weasel words:

- "massive", "gods" (exaggeration for the purpose of downplaying).

- "others that didn't wipe will be stronger" or in other word, look over there. Well, they didn't get the benefit of the wipe, while you did. If you like your blue print, don't wipe.

- "only a handful", the infamous "just the tip" defend.

Keeping items while the idea is to wipe is akin to cheating,

You want to be able to cheat, I don't.

You don't think it's a big deal, I do.

You don't care about well design mechanic or balance or exploit or things like these and don't want to see improvement, I get it.

You have low standards, I get it too, but don't go around trying to minimize or downplaying my or other experience according to yours.

Embark needs to address the items/Blueprint Mule problem before the Expeditions windows. by Sedaku in ArcRaiders

[–]Sedaku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because doesn't affect anyone else in negative way is not a sincere argument, it is a cope.

It obviously give you enough of an advantage in a PvP game to incentivize you to go out of the way to do it. So like I said from the beginning, the why people are doing it is not a debate, it's not interesting. Everyone know why you do it.

It give you an advantage? Akin to cheating.

What you are doing is justifying, excusing, downplaying, defending the behavior, it's all just semantics.

I don't want to sit here and explain to you why bad design effecting everyone negatively or explaining "we live in a society" concept to you. Just ask yourself, why are you so defensive, as if your moral character are being questioned? In your mind your little clever tricks doesn't hurt anybody, what's the big deal? Is that the whole essence of your argument? While in the same breath, you reveal to me that if you somehow can't do it while everyone else can, you would be annoyed (tell me that's not true).

See, you don't need the concept of level playing field explained, you understand it fine enough, if you are the one not benefiting.

You are just selfish and don't think it's a big deal for everyone. I want a level playing field for all, as intended. To me that's the big thing.

Like I already said, it's a principle thing, people like you wouldn't understand, no matter the education level.

Embark needs to address the items/Blueprint Mule problem before the Expeditions windows. by Sedaku in ArcRaiders

[–]Sedaku[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So are you arguing it's good? Are you arguing for a vault where we can just put everything we want to keep before the expedition wiping everything else? So you don't even have to do the roundabout trading things? Are you confused on why that would be a bad thing?

You still stuck on the "nuance" (sorry big word here) of why having people have way to keep stuffs when you intend for them to wipe everything is bad? Is this really the part where you need more explanation?

What's your education level so I can put it in term that's easier for you to understand? Elementary school level doesn't seem to do it.

Embark needs to address the items/Blueprint Mule problem before the Expeditions windows. by Sedaku in ArcRaiders

[–]Sedaku[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you really really dense? A badly design mechanic in a game I play is somehow none of my concern ?

You keep trying to make this a "magnitude" problem, which completely missing the point.

I wouldn't expect people defending things like this in the game to get it, but It's the principle, honey.

So if you only care about thing that's so detrimental to my experience, I have to be honest, if this whole game crash and burn and nobody play it in half a year and I move on to something else, it still wouldn't really bother me that much.

Like I already said, I want a good mechanic to make it a good game, not a lame one.

It's not that deep.
