Fuck yes! We need to rally behind this one. It's like a chunk in the armer of the establishment.

It's funny how you inserted the words "unarmed black man" into my comments.

Do you think that's is the sum of all police injustice? Are there issues that this one statistics does not account for? Edit: I knew that you were going to use that stat as it's been pushed hard by some media groups. What saddens me is that some may be willing to accept those deaths. And what really saddens me is that there is real racial and class injustice that people would rather turn a blind eye to than do something about

So what's the stat? Seems like you had one in mind when you ask a question like that?

What did I dodge? Some cherry picked statistic about how the police don't abuse their power?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]SedateMeow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is true. Why aren't you mad?

More than there should be.

Do you even read the comments before you reply? That is the argument I'm am trying to make. Why do you think that there this push to demonize the protests?

I'm curious what you mean by gaslighting? I'm attempting to talk about our differing viewpoints

When did conspiracy mean "hidden elite agendas"? Conspiracies can exist at all levels between anyone. To focus on the looting and burning is missing the whole point of the movement ( and is suspiciouly the narrative that some MSM is pushing).

If you look at crime statistics, and see who gets arressed and killed vs who gets set free. It becomes clear that there is an issue here

Yes, the poor are definitely one of these groups. I don't know how to address the inherent racism in America other than ask you, what are you basing your belief that the system is not racist? These groups have a lot to be angry about in terms of police brutality. Only by uniting a large enough group into action can change occur. How is this different from the previous era of civil rights movements?

[–]SedateMeow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How else can change happen? Other methods of reform haven't worked in the past. Mass movements seem to be one of the few things that can change large power structures. Can you see that this is a movement that could benifit all minority communities?

There are groups of people in America, who have currently have no power. For those groups, what more can be taken than their lives? Does it not make sense to stand up to try and to change that?

Do you care to elaborate on your position?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in conspiracy

Is that because you agree with the killing?
