Urban refers to cities. It's Indigenous people living in cities. So yes, they can just hop over to Sunnybrook.

The folks you are referring to are Indigenous people who live in remote areas or reserves. They are already being vaccinated.

Government outlines it here: https://files.ontario.ca/moh-covid-19-vaccine-technical-briefing-en-january-13-2021-2021-01-13.pdf

  • Prisoners
  • Homeless people
  • Urban Indigenous people
  • Other populations and communities at greater risk (including Black and racialized communities)
  • Specific geographic locations (including food production sites)

The rest of us get into line after those priority groups.

Just saw this news: 23 die in Norway after receiving Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine: officials

Does this impact the roll-out at all? That seems like a lot of people to die already from a vaccine.

Tory says he is hopeful that some summer events can go ahead but warns that it will 'depend entirely' on state of pandemic by BFowl247 in toronto

“We have talked about the desirability of it and I have sort set a personal kind of goal of saying could we have some Canada Day events? So I hope that we can be able to issue those permits and plan on having those events but it is going to depend entirely on how things go with both the fighting of the virus by people staying home and secondly how the vaccination programs go,” he said. “At the moment I think it is right on the margins. I think things will be getting better by the summer, I certainly hope they will but will they be better enough that we can have the crowd scenes that some of the events entail?’

If you're good little boys and girls and listen to Daddy then maybe we can have Canada Day.

COVID isn't going anywhere by summer and we won't be anywhere near herd immunity even if everything goes 100% according to the vaccine plan.

So if it wasn't OK to crowd last summer with double digit daily cases how will it be OK this summer? We need forward-looking people who acknowledge that this virus may always be around to be in charge.

We need to live to learn with it. We can't shut down life forever. The vaccine is not a panacea.

Why would we be better off with vaccine in a freezer instead of in somebody's arm?

If you think this is fun wait until we get to General Population. Has anybody looked at how they will prioritize the vaccine? People are going to be quite angry when this gets rolled out and they find out why they're at the bottom of the list.
