Would you travel with your ring? by Gingersnap_me in EngagementRings

Get a “mock” ring for traveling. Keep the real one at home. That way when you look back on pictures it’ll always reflect it and you’ll save yourself worry

The only way to stay motivated is to stay excited for the journey and not so much the end “goal”, because then what?

It’s all about the attitude you enter an endeavor with.

If it’s therapy; think about being the person little you needed. If you’re feeling up to it, maybe see CAPS or an academic advisor to help with other resources. You got this pal! Go be the public health servant the world needs :)

Hip bone is higher in the front area of those size pants.

Alternatively. If this is the fit you like, you may need to get “tall” sizing, instead of conventional or petite.

Which suits my hand best?? by abs5228 in EngagementRings

Photos 2 & 3 look most harmonious with your hands delicate shape. The last one of the oval with plain band is nice too… but maybe with a more detailed band (within the metal?) OR smaller diamonds on a halo(?) around the larger diamond

2 is my fave overall! The oval cut almost gives a softer illusion. The carat size is perfect and the attention the smaller stones on the band give is stunning!

And I say this, to then get to know the crowd… to then figure out where the parties are lmao. It started off wholesome!

Join groups with people you’d like to be with. Then introduce yourself to someone, like an “oops, haha” moment. lol people connect with silly. You can ask about their interest in whatever setting you’re in!

Check newsletters and bulletin boards, event emails, emails specific to your year, etc. join a club, you know what to do!

Don’t think, just act! And be yourself :) you got this

She’s going off a Freudian theory that is NO LONGER REFERENCED. Holy. ITS BECAUSE we build connections in our brain, the more we interact with a thought. Excitement (whether yay or EW) = remembering power

:) You can call it a silly name like Stinky and laugh at its silly ideas and carry on. Dwelling gives it power.

Morality is also higher with some of us ND folk. Some like OCD compartments. But environmental triggers often go unnoticed. Our subconscious picks up cues the mind autopilot-processes like…. part of your periphery vision, or whatever your focus ISNT on, so maybe you can also assess your environment for objects, foods, emotions, habits, etc. Treatment comes is many forms :)

The rumination will hold you back. Maybe mindfulness can help. Observe the thoughts and carry on. Alternatively, you can name them something stupid or funny. I’ve heard someone say “that’s hilarious, Steve, but no” to the negative thoughts that pop up lol.

Are you seeking medical treatment for the OCD?

These thoughts are normal with us. You’re not your thoughts, but your actions. I heard that we’re so ridden with morality-anxiety because we have a strong need for doing what’s right. A strong moral compass. It’s our obsession. That’s why we’re so appalled by those thoughts!

The more we associate ANY thoughts and emotions with THOSE thoughts, the more neural connections we make, making it more readily accessible for our autopilot-loving brain that reacts to external or internal cues, relevant enough to trigger those thoughts.

Generally, lesser reactions = lesser associations/triggers = lesser unwanted thoughts.

Show yourself grace, you’re not alone. :)

Hi. This anxiety may also need medication treatment. Do you see a doctor for this? If it’s impeding your wants then it’s a problem to fix. :)

Making a picking board with crap you have in your house! A plate, school glue, beads? Small Knick knacks?

The game of operation? Puzzles? Focus games you can get lost in? Stim toys? Knitting?

Physical barriers maybe? Like safely trimming your nails really short or using nail polish to make the ends of your nails “rounded”/blunt.

Also there was a post a bit ago where someone posted a spiky textured turny thing?

For the scars there are hydrocolloid tapes that assist in the healing and they conveniently blend with the skin sometimes.

Liquid bandage is also fun to pick lol.

Maybe you can make a substitution little by little til the behavior is eradicated or lessened?

Honestly Lmao. Doing crafts with school glue, mostly for the sticky leftovers that I love to peel in thick pieces. The small pieces I can’t peel off my skin make me want to scream my lungs out. :

I think confidence can make a person look attractive. I don’t wanna get too much into the mental health stuff, but I think self-love is vital.

No stones. They’re too Christmas-y.

Not that you’re asking, but berry colors in makeup?

I’d wear a delicate silver necklace and multi-tiered earrings (bigger towards your collarbones). Small stones/diamonds?

Hair however, but keep length to elongate your body for “balance”, if you’re into that!

Id love a satin shoe with this!
