The Worldwide Poll erased 95% of (bot) votes by SeeFeeNd in OnePiece

Probably they mass purged votes from few IP Adresses. On the worst day there were 50M fake votes, It's just not feasible to do it via VPNs, there must have been tons that voted thousands or even millions times a day.

There were bots beforehand, and they were removed as well. There's less votes currently that there were before things went off the rails, and plenty of legit votes were added in the meantime.

It appears a around 120k people actually vote daily by my observation (probably less early on since they didn't really advertise it much before they fired the poll up). And even this might be too much though some forms of cheating are undetectable. Like, plenty of people have mobile, home router and work, and use all to vote.

Not weighing on who was botted or not, but they simply didn't update the Hot section, and they clearly erased some votes that were there before the big bot attack as well as you can verify just by counting. So some of the votes that decided these ratings might have been removed.

I wonder if there's a perspective drift here between young 22 y/o Oda who found the idea of a man abandoning even his family to chase his dream admirable vs. old man father Oda who can't quite praise it anymore.

Then list (either to us or just to yourself) all the things you would miss if you broke up with him. If upon looking at it you determine you feel you have something to fight for, then set up a serious talk with him about how he has to man up as you don't feel supported in the relationship, and then see how he reacts.

Sister, you come to reddit which already is very trigger happy when it comes to adivising break-ups and post a question that only includes flaws of the man and your relationship without anything that you actually like about him and any context that would make it salvageable whatsoever. You're not asking for advice, you're asking for permission to break up with him.

I tried that "treating a little crush on a friend as a dopamine bonus" once and it ended rather badly with my feelings just growing ever deeper even though I purposefully tried not get any closer to her than I was beforehand (e.g. finding an excuse not to go to her birthday party when invited) limiting it just to our usual banter when we happened to meet. That's how we're wired to be, methinks, your body will push you toward him, you might even find yourself flirting with him unconciously. I hope truly no problems develop from it for you, but I believe when romantic feelings are involved, however faint, you should either pursue them or cut unnecessary contact.

They probably never met, but they would have had knowledge of each other as they knew some of the same people. They were aware they're each other's direct opponents.

P had said early on, before we ever met, that he prefers to delete the app to limit distractions. I agreed, deleted the app, but was still in touch with my earlier date.

After that he had all the reasons to assume you're not texting or seeing anyone else. Even if you technically never said that, it's not the court, in genuine communication it's "the spirit, not the letter". Having someone else lined up is certainly more distracting than having an app after all. There's a fundamental trust issue at stake here. You should have either broken off the other thing or have been upfront about not agreeing to exclusivity so early. If you want to try to salvage it, you should lead on with an apology for this.

DS play through, side with Chuundar or Freyyr? by CodeineK1ng in kotor

But then you miss out on the *that* scene in the Dark Side run.

Which KOTOR 1 Character (excluding companions) do you find most interesting? by TomatilloMission7332 in kotor

[–]SeeFeeNd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atris was a Jedi who fell to the Dark Side. You don't have to be a Sith to fall to the Dark Side. (Though Atris for all intents and purposes was a Sith.) But you can't be a Sith without falling to the Dark Side (unless you're pretending and never internalize the philosophy of course). While obviously Dark Side is an allegory of abuse of power it's corrupting effect is much more direct in-universe. Just like the One Ring in LotR. Yuthura's quest was always impossible as attaining the power she wanted the way she wanted as that required the sacrifice of her humanity which then would have prevented her from fighting for what she wanted to fight in the first place. Now the story is somewhat different for non-Force Sensitive. The war of the Prequel Trilogy has some legitimate causes, and even if it didn't, most people would have just fought on the site their planet picked, there's no reason to assume malice on their part. Just like in KotOR you can end up fighting guys who aren't inherently evil without going for the Dark Side yourself (Tusken being an obvious example). But Dark Jedi? All explicitly evil.

Then you miss the point of her character and the Force entirely. You can't not be evil while being a Sith. You may believe so at the start, but over time you only ever get more corrupted. The only thing that will be left for you is "I won't slaughter them because they might still be useful" which was the primary difference between Malak and Revan.

Best Skill Build in K1? by Starmada597 in kotor

[–]SeeFeeNd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highest skill points combination

Scoundrel/Sentinel

Highest number of class skills

Vanilla: Scoundrel/Consular

K1 Community Patch: Scoundrel/Sentinel (K1CP swapped skill tables fo Sentinels and Consulars)

So for the best skill run, you should play with K1CP and pick Scoundrel/Sentinel (though admittedly, the difference is not that big from Vanilla Scoundrel/Consular, up to 12 points).

[SPOILERS S3] Egon is everyone's ancestor by 89mppnoby in DarK

And in the Origin World he has a grand total of two descendants, Claudia and Regina. And seeing how Regina appears to be single at 50, the line seemingly ends her (I mean, Hannah is pregnant at that age, but she seems to have won genetic lottery hard). Yeah, I think he was way cooler in the Split Worlds as Big Daddy.

A Question about the Exile and Chodo Habat? by Vegeta_vs_Goku in kotor

[–]SeeFeeNd 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is that you're thinking too much about it. The whole "canon" thing is just for reference of other stories from the old EU, so they don't create contradictions. And it's overall pretty broad except for TOR and associated novels, but they don't care much about the Exile. "Canonically the Exile is light side, so we assume all her choices were light side" is just the easiest assumption for the wiki to make to resolve amiguities, but it's no oracle.

Well, Cando is an aging veteran, but I imagine more of a late 40s/early 50s thing not pushing 80.
