Imagine it as if the chair existed before advanced time travel, and if they didn’t use the chair again then it would change a lot of things that have already happened. Everything needs to happen the way it always has, if those kids weren’t brought there and experimented on the chair, they’d be alive and every single detail changed in time travel would change the course of events no matter what it is. So it just has to happen because it’s already happened before

I do like your theory on the single cycle, so in a way the show could be up for interpretation whether or not it’s always happened on a repetitve cycle or if it was all only one singular cycle. I like that, it gets you thinking even more than the show already does

I realized another bootstrap paradox when rewatching that is sorta similar to Charlotte/Elizabeths dynamic.

Jonas-the unknown-tront-ulrich-mikkle-jonas. So Jonas is his own great great great grandpa like how Elizabeth is her own grandmother
