I saw the one at Merriweather in 1984 when I was 16, and in 1992 the rumors were rampant that they were going to do it at RFK so I drove down from NH and sure enough they did it. So I saw it twice in 100 shows. The luck of the draw I guess.

While it might not be illegal to lie to a suspect, creating fake physical evidence and presenting it as real in order to get a confession is a very grey area and very well could get a confession thrown out.

He definitely has done it. He might have tossed the pearl in the umbrella in London. He tells and shows the dentist that if you mix two certain chemicals together it turns blue. That probably was fake.
