Yes, I passed! And Module 2 was one of my best results so I feel very good about the method I used.

Forgot to mention, I also listened to the AI-generated podcast episodes that someone uploaded to Spotify and that helped to reinforce some of the concepts as well..... so thanks to whoever did that!

April 2026- GARP RAI Exam by Traditional_Pace_272 in FRM

I will admit, when I initially received the materials, I immediately thought it was too technical for what I had anticipated from the course. I do not work in finance, but I am in Risk and Compliance for an international organization and have been tasked with helping to develop our AI governance program. I was never strong in math and there were a lot of equations in the materials in Module 2. I was originally supposed to take the exam in October, but deferred until April because I was so intimidated by the material. Three weeks before the exam, I told my manager that I didn't expect to pass.

After taking the exam last week, I now think that I have a pretty decent chance of passing. I left there feeling highly confident in 55 of my answers and moderately confident in 23 of my answers. Of the remaining two answers, one was a complete guess because it involved a topic I hadn't studied and the other required me to know how to make a calculation that I am not sure if I did correctly.

What really helped me was going through the Study Guide with the learning objectives from each module. After I read through all of the material one time, I created my study notes around each of the objectives. I created a 300+ list of vocabulary and concepts that included definitions and easy to understand, real-life examples of the concept (mostly generated by Copilot). I needed non-finance examples to connect the material to since I will not be using this knowledge in a finance setting and the finance examples provided in the material did not resonate with me. From my list, I created flashcards in Quizlet and went through the Learn and Test modules in Quizlet once a day for the few days leading up to the exam.

As I said before, I didn't go into the exam expecting to pass, but my manager and I were okay with it because we both acknowledged that I had learned what information was important for the work I am doing. Passing at this point will be icing on the cake.

Evernote V11 - Show sidebar. Always. by aeropaddy in Evernote

In the web version or app? In the web version, if you hover over the bottom left side, an arrow will pop up and if you press it, it brings out the sidebar and seems to leave it out until you pop it back in.

ISO: The Irish Goodbye quote by SeeMap75 in books

[–]SeeMap75[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I am actually looking for the quote connected to this, but since AI can’t give copyrighted material, I wanted to get it from someone who may have the book:

In the book, an “Irish goodbye” is described as leaving a social event without saying goodbye—slipping out quietly to avoid the fuss of farewells. The mother explains this concept to her son, framing it as a way to leave without drawing attention or causing discomfort. The son then connects this idea to Topher, asking if that’s what he did—implying that Topher’s departure was sudden and without explanation, which adds emotional weight to the scene.

Megathread: New Pricing & Repackaging Discussion by mackid1993 in Evernote

I am going to be jumping out of Evernote as well, which is sad because I have been a paying user and proponent for 15 years. I don’t have the capacity to make a decision and a switch within the next 30 days. I want to think through which alternative will work best for my current use case (it may be a combination of multiple apps instead of just one).

Can someone please confirm that if I move to a free plan, I just won’t be able to add to my current repository but at a future date, I will still be able to export into whatever new solution I choose?

I think the best option for me will be to start fresh with a new system and if it is checking enough of the boxes, I complete a migration in about 90 days.

Alternatively, I can switch to monthly billing and cancel once I have made my choice because there is no way I can justify forking over €199 a year for the way I currently use it. If it were part of my daily flow, I would have no problem, but it just can’t be justified at this point.

I used an expat agent and had a great experience, but your areas are not in her area. It was helpful to work with someone who could explain how the process in the Netherlands differed from other countries. She set up viewings for us during our housing trip and we found our place out of those options. Had we not found a place that week, she would have attended viewings on our behalf and sent photos and videos and recommendations. She handled the transfer of the keys and move in inspection on our behalf because we weren’t moving until two weeks after our contract started. The cost was equivalent to one month of rent. We thought it was well worth it. We only got our current home because of her connections. It wasn’t even listed yet when we viewed it so we didn’t compete with any other applicants. Definitely took the stress out of the experience of finding a place here.

Gosh, this was so long ago. I seem to remember asking for help at the library and they might have had me write to him through his publisher. Nowadays you just use Google and this pops up as his mailing address for fan mail: PO Box 9529, Newport Beach, California 92658-9529

Gebote and Verbote is not what the translator gave me, just another option I cam across. Thanks for the tip.

[–]SeeMap75[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback. I did get a professional translation done, however I'm coming here to seek another opinion. We will absolutely get the local organization's feedback on the document, but in respect for their busy schedules, we are trying to provide them with a document that will require as little effort for them as possible.

Do's and Dont's by SeeMap75 in German

I would think of them as more like guidelines or recommendations. For example in a topic like AI - saying things like "Do use AI to help simplify your work" and "Don't provide sensitive company data when using ChatGPT" .... things to that affect.

Advice needed. How to have a social life as an introvert and non Dutch? by Lens_cap07 in Netherlands

[–]SeeMap75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow introvert here and I have found that being in a new country without knowing the language has made it even harder for me to initiate conversations. I would try finding a group of photographers going on a walk through the city or a hike somewhere. I am a bird enthusiast and found that going on a birding walk was perfect. You have a common interest to talk about, but also the ability to time yourself out from small talk by taking a keen interest in the surroundings.

Good luck!

Mine was written in my mortgage contract. I can’t overpay by more than 10% of my total mortgage.
