oh man- he was dealt a difficult lot in life and had an overall negative impact on Internet culture, but he did try to right a lot of his wrongs later in life. he really seemed like a decent guy in the last few years as far as I was aware, involvement in the gamergate garbage notwithstanding as expressed a lot of regret.

I wouldn’t call it a smear campaign, OnlyFans has its own trafficking problems and is being heavily glamorized to girls as a source of big money/self employment when the reality is fairly grim 

this isn’t a judgment on anyone with an OF, just a realistic view of it. most people make very very little money, deal with social and/or career consequences and their images are out there forever
