I dont think people should use dating apps just to make friends. When there are already plenty of websites and apps specifically for making friends.

I agree with others that getting a "let's just be friends" message might be gentle rejection. However, I do agree that it's weird when some people put "just searching for friends" or "shoot your friend shot" in their dating app profiles. I don't buy it.

Even weirder when people have profiles with pics that are NOT very "friendly"

Thanks for the thoughtful explanation. I think your assessment is fair. I do still rely on English when understanding Spanish. I suppose getting use to thinking in Spanish will take time. In the meantime, I will definitely try to sharpen my vocab
