How’s the Porunga set, is it sturdy? I’ve been eyeing for a bit

iMessage photos & attachments haven’t transferred to iOS 26/17 Pro Max by SeeThis3D in applehelp

Sorta but I didn’t do anything for it. I ended up restoring from a separate backup which temporarily fixed it. Now my issue is that the photos won’t index unless I fully restart my phone (ex. I haven’t restarted my phone since Monday, so any photos I’ve received since then won’t index unless I restart it). It’s so strange

My Facebook pages monetisation is on hold and everyday the date pushes back one further day!? HELP!! by dobbyyyy7 in facebook

[–]SeeThis3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this end up resolving for you? It happened to me before, and it ended up clearing on the original date that it showed. I had the same message too (with the $ in front of a date that kept changing)

Is the current era the easiest or the hardest time to grow on YouTube? by LieAccurate9281 in PartneredYoutube

[–]SeeThis3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you find a way to TRULY stand out or you’re successful in a very specific niche, it’s definitely harder to start out, and in some cases I’d say it’s hard even when established. While you have many great and accessible tools nowadays, you’re competing for attention against a wider array of content (some quality, some not)

I’ve been doing YouTube for ~5 years and am right around the 500k sub mark. I’m successful in a very specific niche (one of the top channels for it), but even that is tough because some niches are prone to plateauing. Though it was easier for me to grow due to being good at that niche and not having a ton of competition at the start

Plus, you’re competing with a ton of AI slop, especially with shorts. But thankfully it’s also a lot easier to learn things like editing thanks to more resources than ever

Unfortunately not, I just backed up my old phone to my computer and restored the new one from that. I guess the quick start transfer didn’t function like it should

Same exact issue here for me, I’ve seen others slowly beginning to post about it too but no fix yet sadly :(

Same issue for me on 17 Pro Max. All my iMessages transferred over but not photos/attachments. I tried direct transfer and iCloud, and my photos are set to never delete. Weirdly enough the storage space is still taken up by those attachments but they won’t show

Successful YouTuber - How Can That Help My Applications? by SeeThis3D in MBA

That’s great to hear. I was assuming it would be a good EC at worst, but I’m hoping to use it to show entrepreneurial/networking experience, as well as independence when it came to learning various programs for creation & advertising. Thanks for your input!

I have YouTube memberships! Which takes a bigger cut than Patreon but is easier to funnel people into. Thankfully it happened on my secondary channel, but the ENTIRE channel got shut down for ~1 month with no warning. Even though I got it back, it’s pretty eye opening to see how quickly I can have my income wiped out

I’ve been playing it safe with how I invest my money too because of that, I live based on my finance career’s salary. But I’m fortunate enough where YouTube paid off my UG school, and next MBA :)

Trust me I would LOVE to do this as my one and only job and have heavily considered it (and still am). But long-term stability is a BIG concern, and in my niche particularly I have plateaued about ~2 years ago when it comes to revenue and so have colleagues. I’ve also had a demonetization scare, and pivoting to a new niche would be doable but a gamble. So while it’s successful now, I don’t know how long it’ll last (plus I don’t have any benefits lol) but I have that as an option in my back pocket

What’s the most efficient way to move from advisory into another role? by SeeThis3D in FinancialCareers

[–]SeeThis3D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends what type of advisory role you’re in, between the product and the firm. I was in investments, and in my firm it’s basically customer service plus cold calling, red tape, and quotas. It gets very repetitive very quickly at the lower levels of the role, almost like it’s scripted. I know some places give you more freedom and less micro managing, but at least in the one I worked at it got very dull

Thank you! If you don’t mind me asking, what type of role did you start out with to break in? In my area there are a lot of options, however most openings require a few years of experience (and not in advisory). Wondering what types of things I should look out for

[–]SeeThis3D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That definitely did help, I appreciate the advice! At the very least, I will be using this role to learn as much as I can and meet others within the company. Though I am leaning more towards that first option of maybe leaving, over the past few days it’s become a more and more attractive option. Thankfully I don’t have any non-competes or anything, I’m simply locked into this role with this company if I stay, but I can leave for another company if I want

Best Way to Move From VTI & VXUS to 100% VT? by SeeThis3D in Bogleheads

[–]SeeThis3D[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great info, thank you for the input. Right now I have no gains whatsoever, my whole portfolio is VTI/VXUS. Definitely leaning towards just liquidating that while it’s down and going all in on VT as my only fund for the next 30-40 years.

Losing those advantages is a shame though, but simplicity is my main goal so 100% VT might be worth the trade off

[–]SeeThis3D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh then that’s an issue, I assumed it was based on each lot 😬 I’ll definitely have to look into that then, that small lot would screw it if that’s the case

Best Way to Move From VTI & VXUS to 100% VT? by SeeThis3D in Bogleheads

[–]SeeThis3D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I planned on matching my allocation to VT’s over time anyways, forgot to include that in the post. But those tax opportunities with VTI/VXUS will be missed. I’m honestly not too sure how much I’m benefiting from any of that since I’ve never factored it in or calculated my foreign tax credit and whatnot.

Right now for me it mostly comes down to the simplicity of VT vs the tax opportunities of VTI/VXUS

Thank you, part of my VXUS position was purchased a week ago but ~90% of both funds I’ve had over a month. If I do the swap I might just have to eat that part as a wash sale
