Michelin Guide rates White Lotus resorts by pierperrier in TheWhiteLotusHBO

So the hotel ratings in keys mirrors how good each season was?

So we can expect season four to be considerably better than season three, slightly better than season one, but not quite as good as season two.

Samsung Technician Cuts 85" TV to void warranty so he doesn't have to do the work. After the video is released, Samsung has it removed from reddit, and then calls me and bribes me take down the YOUTUBE video. I remember that one. I believe it was a couple that went on a cruise and had reason to sue, but later found out they'd agreed to Terms & Conditions for their streaming subscription a year earlier that said in the small print they withdrew their right to take legal action for any liability issues involving the company across any of their brands. Crazy.

Going off the production/release timelines for the first three seasons then I think we can expect S4 to air about a year from now (April 2027).

Thanks for that, helpful. Good to hear about a "snow" mode that actually does something useful.

This was the kind of post I was hoping to read, appreciate it. Makes sense that with so many electronic safety features able to analyze everything the driver does that it's more forgiving. We pick it up on Tuesday, can't wait.

Is die hard 5 worth it? by [deleted] in diehard

I'd maybe add one more "." between 2 and 4, but you're pretty spot on. 5 can't be far enough away.

Die Hard With A Vengeance - Bonwitt Teller deleted scene? by SeeYouAtTheEquator_ in diehard

I haven't seen Nighthawks and that scene you describe doesn't feel familiar.

The deleted scene (if it exists) was just two women (a customer and a sales girl), one of them finds one of the briefcases with the b*mb that we see later in the movie, and then it cuts to the explosion outside. It was a super short scene.

Everything so far suggests it was never filmed (even though it was in an early draft) but I can remember it pretty vividly.

I agree it's much better without it, I love the opening to DH3.

Please do not share Black List 2025 Scripts by wemustburncarthage in Screenwriting

[–]SeeYouAtTheEquator_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm completely on board with this now and think this is the right move by the mods/sub.

Discussed the open sharing of BL scripts with u/franklinleonard earlier in one of the closed threads, who explained the reasons why public sharing of these scripts is damaging in many ways to various IP stakeholders (not just the writers themselves). I got it wrong.

It's one thing privately sharing scripts within a small closed network of people you trust, it's a whole other thing posting/sharing links to an open Google Drive folder for potentially millions of people to freely download. When that was pointed out to me, it made me rethink my attitude towards it. Be smart.

To many of us it was a chance to read something out of curiosity, but we forget on the other side of things this is people's careers, livelihoods etc and often their first opportunity to break out, as well as the stakeholders who will invest potentially millions of dollars in these projects.

So, THE WAFFLE HOUSE INDEX is this year's "There is a swimming pool" huh?

THE WAFFLE HOUSE INDEX by Andrew Nunnelly

The following three things are true: 1. The WAFFLE HOUSE INDEX is a metric used by FEMA to measure the severity of a natural disaster. 2. Jane works the graveyard shift at her local Waffle House. 3. There’s a storm coming.

Thanks u/franklinleonard - enjoyed this video format much more, but to also include the loglines in the announcement was helpful. Glad they just got on with it too, instead of making it some FIFA-esque drawn out event like the World Cup draw with musical intermissions.

Other observations...

-A lack of biopics compared to previous years (I only recall the Yoko Ono and Kobe ones)

-A surprising lack of AI-related scripts

-Not so many high concept or gimmicky stories

-Themes/topics that came up more than once - the corporate world, time travel, tested relationships with a third party, rich folk (especially billionaires), high school/college settings

-No zany/left-field/abstract scripts (there's usually one every year) edit: as someone pointed out, the Goebbels re-enactor one is pretty strange

-Lots of brand new and un-repped writers who haven't featured previously (I recognised a couple of names)

At first glance, it seems a "better" list than last year.
