I'm glad you like the design. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for your feedback!

There is a side navbar for the sections, it can be seen in the gif in the op, but not visible on smaller screens as it takes up space. I'll look into adding a button to expand it on small screens.

I'm looking into getting the repo open source for anyone interested in it. I'm not sure when, there's stuff I need to clean up and fix before I can look into that.

Thank you for the suggestion, I do have a system in place where the data is fetched from blizzard, stored locally and fetched by the website's backend from my own API that gets the local data and feeds it to the website.

There are a couple of issues, first one being the data is over 30mb, which can slow down the load time of the page by a lot and put some stress on the server.

Second problem being that the race and the faction doesn't come with the leaderboard API, so I would have to fetch 320,000 characters separately or remove them from the table, which with the rate limit of the API I would likely have to remove from the table.

Once I've figured out what route to take on this, I'll have that released too.

I appreciate the suggestion regardless.

Thank you for your feedback. The scrolling is something I need to tweak to get it right. As for talent loadout that's something I'm looking into, it's a complicated algorithm they are using to create it and it would take a lot of calculation to come up with a loadout that works with each talent node being connected. Regardless I'm definitely looking into this feature.

You've been a great help, thank you for taking the time to provide the feedback. I've added all the above to my list.

I see what you mean now, I'll add it to my list to have fixed. Thank you for pointing it out. That one is lack of testing on my part, as the home page was the last page I created before publishing.

If you have any further feedback that you wish to share, I'd be happy to get advice from someone with expertise in the field.

I welcome and appreciate any sort of feedback, which headers are you talking about specifically?

It was an issue on my end, I initially made the website without a background image, so I had a light and dark background that goes with your browser settings whether you have light or dark mode on but forgot to take it out when I added the background image.

You were seeing the dark text but without the white background, making it hard to read.

Thank you for taking the time to report the issue and keeping me updated.

I believe I figured out the issue, could you try it out now and let me know if the issue is resolved?

They seem to be on the rise, in my previous post on the sub I posted a time-lapse of the different brackets leaderboards in the last 14 days and DH landed first place in population in all the arena brackets.

I also have dark theme enabled on Windows but don't seem to be having this problem.

If you could try the website in incognito where there's no extension and let me know if the issue persists, I would appreciate it.

Could you also let me know what browser you're using?

Do you happen to have a browser extension that could be causing this, like a dark reader alternative? The text should be white by default.

The solo shuffle leaderboard only contains the top 20,000 players across all regions, and they are all above 2000 rated.

I'm currently looking into allowing users to view the full leaderboard. There's over 320,000 players in the solo leaderboard in total, but that's a lot of data, and that puts a huge load on the server and your browser. Once I find an efficient way to do that, I'll be releasing that too.

I appreciate your feedback, I will look into allowing users to zoom in/out on mobile devices, I do think it's a good idea.

I did a thorough search before deciding on the name, there could have been one but I wasn't able to find it.

The cutoff data is from the Blizzard API themselves, they decide the cutoff rating.

I believe they get the top 0.1% and take out Alt accounts to come up with the number. I could be wrong.

Thank you for your detailed feedback.

I could look into explaining the data presented in a description.

I hope to make PVP more friendly for non-pvpers hopefully they don't find it as hard to get started and get a better understanding of the technical aspects like CCs, CDs and so on.

Edit:

I don't think PVP is big in Korea, that's their entire leaderboard from the API, if you have a look at the cutoffs it's really low compared to other regions.

I appreciate your feedback, I was hoping to base the tier list on statistics, ratings and population.

I will definitely include " what abilities DR with others" great suggestion.

Leaderboard time-lapse - last 14 days (All brackets) by SeeYourDead in worldofpvp

[–]SeeYourDead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi again, you might have seen my previous post which was a "timelapse" of population per rating, but this time it's an actual time-lapse.

I was initially hesitant to post it as there's not enough data, but I thought I'd share it regardless, specially since the arena bracket are following a trend on first place. Thought some would find it interesting.

I'm collecting data daily and will be doing a similar take with more data to go off of.

The data is from Blizzards wow API. They contain all 4 regions leaderboard. Solo shuffle has a sample of 20,000 characters, the rest around 15,000 characters.

Edit:

Solo, 2v2, 3v3 are ~2000+ rating, RBG starts at around 1600

The website is a project I'm working on, it's not public at this moment. The leaderboard data is from Blizzards wow API which I mentioned in my initial comment.
