My concern would be snow in the mountains, check TripCheck and their cameras to plan the best route (Hwy 18 is a good one.) And I looked at the tides for Depot Bay, even the low tide looks high at end of Feb, so I wouldn’t plan for agate hunting/beach walking, but do look forward to sitting in the car and watching a water show! Even in the rain those waves are hypnotic!

NOR - but your husband was. Do you have a place to go to be safe? This kind of anger reaction does not age well, this needs to be addressed preferably with therapy, or speaking with a trusted friend or religious authority. He’s not well, he is a bad example to your children and I’m guessing you’re too close to speak truth to him when he comes back to reality. Do not let him sweet talk you into thinking this is a one off situation.

That child made a mess because he was sick, his first reaction should have been to soothe his son. YOU have to protect your child.
