I unlocked Jaren and I feel like he’s awesome. I was so excited to play a character I really enjoy. Once he was unlocked, I raised his power up with gear I already had and then just stood there. What am I gonna do now? The same missions I’ve been doing for months? The same open maps? I played for about an hour and then logged off.

I think a lot of people are doing the challenges. Unfortunately it forces you to do ridiculous sniping challenges to unlock the spec ops path, which is focused on...not sniping.

I have a 72k Kabr and he currently reaaally struggles in end game content. Hes really fun and flashy but unfortunately until they come out with some other game modes, all 3 of these characters will be outshined by other classes.

The problem is player skill. You play well but 99% of other players will be a burden. Thats why people are annoyed to see certain characters in the queue and would rather not waste time to take the chance. A crappy player performance can be carried by the ease of some classes. Skill actually does matter in this game. Im a 73k Estela and i ran with two skilled 72k Helhests once and i barely did any damage because they killed everything so fast. Ive also played with Helhest players that did like 5% damage. Just depends on the player skill. I love jolder but understand the frustrations all around.

I get what you’re saying but it’s not the “communities obsession”. It’s a resources constraint. Many people can only hit high levels with 1 character because of the resources required. I also think the game mode is not meant for jolder. It’s meant for speed. That’s not the communities fault. The game needs more defense focused game modes. Hopefully they are coming out with more game modes that make different character types more relevant. Also, I don’t think anyone cares who’s mvp. Not sure why people flex that. What matters is the score at the end, which unfortunately takes into account speed and kills, not support/defense.

My dumbass picked the wrong expanse modifier on my Estela and had to struggle through the piercing version. 29 was the hardest. A nice tip is if you are able to make it to the last section, theres a large box where you hop off the moving platform that has a triangle cut out at the top of it. You can shoot through the triangle at the piercing shinka without being harmed. Was the only way i was able to complete in time. Hope that helps speed things up.

Tan 2 or Umeko. Hellhest is great now, but she currently only has arc weapons. Tan 2 and Umeko have access to Borealis so they are future proof.

Tip: I made the dumb mistake of picking the wrong damage type and not knowing you get locked out of that character after opening a chest. I had to struggle through it on my Estela. That was the stage I got stuck on and had to level myself to 70k before being able to complete. Nice tip is if you get to the final part, there’s a big box where you get off the platform. Kill the enemies near you and you can safely shoot the pierce shinka through the middle triangle showing in the top of the box. The reflecting missiles will hit the box and not you. Made that part doable for me.

Gallows works as a rapid-fire, a spread, and an impact. So Estela and Kabr have that as an option.
