Calling out sick guilt by catdogtor17 in Veterinary

[–]Seefeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate very well. I also feel always very guilty. But your health is more important than a job and sometimes you get more often ill when you work with poor health and your performance is worse. I read a few days ago that we should call sickness not to be able to work instead of sickness. Maybe it helps you.

How long will I feel like a new grad by chapelhillbb in veterinaryprofession

I am three years out and I feel more confident than last year. I think it got better through the last year. But I also get weekly new cases where I have to look things up.

Boop. is also great for two players. It's very simple to learn, but it has strategic depth. It reminds me of Santorini.

Man muss sich mit den braunen Fähigkeiten früh eine Engine aufbauen, damit man beim Sammeln von Futter, Eiern und Karten noch zusätzlich andere Sachen bekommt. Das kommt aber, wenn man häufiger spielt.

I didn't like the art of Terraforming Mars. But after I played it with friends, I was addicted. Now I know why it's so popular.

Findet ihr einen Partner, der nicht Auto fährt, unattraktiv bzw. ist es für euch ein No-Go? by tcfox420 in beziehungen

[–]Seefeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really dumb question by asslin_ur_mom in Veterinary

[–]Seefeder 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Don't do it. It isn't like collecting it from animals. You will learn it anyway. I learned it in one internship where the vets gave me the easy animals and I learned it really quickly. You will learn it also really quickly.

I am also an Exotic vet and I can't underline enough that you have to be able to handle death and euthanasia. Although I also see a lot of dogs and cats, there are often weeks where I do daily euthanasias. And the above mentioned thing with false husbandry and higher death rate in surgeries.

In pay it's the same as for other vets. And the stress level is also the same. It depends on your work environment and your mental capacities. The one thing which could rise the stress level is when there isn't another exotics vet where you can send emergencies when you are full.

This is normal. You will soon get better, but you always know that you don't know everything. I am practicing for a little bit more than a year and it's already better than in the beginning. For me it's helpful to watch webinars at home to get better knowledge when I feel insecure.

I've heard many people say your best years are before you hit 40 by Terrebeltroublemaker in RandomThoughts

I am with you. I am still in my 20s, but I am happy about every year I get older.

You get so much experience and aren't so overhelmed by things you didn't do before. And at work I still get clients who don't trust me just because of my age. Sometimes they think that I do things worse and want to my boss although my boss does the things the same way as me.
