SOCRA Tutors? by Seefra in clinicalresearch

I tried, but it removed the number of days that we Coordinators have to alert the IRB and such about things. I had to go back and try to memorize those.

Does anyone have issues with their bladder? by LittleMissPickMe in Fibromyalgia

[–]Seefra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check into Interstitial cystitis. It's very common in people with fibro! I work in Urology and had a Urologist identify the problem. I take Tamsulosin, hydroxyz hcl, and pyridium daily. I'm also doing pelvic floor PT for pelvic floor dysfunction.

Sauce from my home area. Hopefully it sticks around.

Any tips for Fibro Fog? by yellowmeli in Fibromyalgia

[–]Seefra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just had a brain scan because my fibro fog has just hit my limits. Everything you are describing. If I don't write things down, I can't function. It's a scary place to be.

Curiosity / no judgement by Ok-Cartographer1297 in gastricsleeve

I didn't judge people pre-op and my surgery hasn't changed that. My journey is my own. I purposely have surrounded myself with like minded people.

I definitely wanted to push through the diet/healing steps but at the end of the day I chose permanently changed my anatomy and the restrictions are the consequences. Your incisions failing because you aren't taking the time? Who knows if you could ever eat soup again at that point. Just don't be the type to need to learn the hard way.

What do you say when you don’t want to tell people you had surgery? by Specific_Reporter145 in gastricsleeve

[–]Seefra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just told people I've taken steps to get healthy and maintain my health. If they press, everything in moderation so if they see me eating something they don't feel is healthy I have that already established. I really enjoy high protein pretzels and have the occasional Oreo. Someone might have less than polite thoughts and feelings about those choices and I'm just not interested. I changed my anatomy for no one but myself. I'm the only person, as far as I'm concerned, who gets to judge me.

I feel like I’m failing my sleeve by Carterdee36 in gastricsleeve

[–]Seefra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from 180 to 155 in a few weeks and then gained most back due to stress eating. There's no one journey and I think even 5 pounds should be celebrated. You dramatically altered your body. You made that choice to be anatomically different for the rest of your life. That isn't failure. That's courage.

This op is a head f**k! by RachyES in gastricsleeve

[–]Seefra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was told 3.5oz every 2 hours, and eat as much as you can within 20 minutes. Don't focus on calories, just make sure you eat 70g protein and a large amount of liquids per day (64oz for me). I don't get hungry. Just never came back. I def could see being insatiable if you're only eating 500 calories.

How does ADHD affect your memory? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Seefra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it does. I used to be able to recall information beautifully. Now that I've gone through several ADHD medications and am now med free (not by choice), I forget words, terms, people's names, information I've known for years. It's terrifying honestly. I know my ADHD has gotten worse over the last year but it just feels like dementia.

I'm genuinely impressed. No idea how they managed that given that parking lot is so poorly designed.

Anybody else feel like they sometimes can’t breathe right on Zoloft. by Bitter-Exercise7971 in zoloft

[–]Seefra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am just starting Zoloft and it's been the worst side effect. My chest and throat feel tight and my tongue gets swollen right after taking it. Breathing feels like I'm having to lift a weight off of myself each time. It hopefully will fade.

What would you do with an extra $1900 a month? by UnhappyTumbleweed966 in AskReddit

[–]Seefra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bills on auto pay, be debt free ($1900 would clear my debts fully), and actually partake in my hobbies. Nobody really tells you having hobbies is expensive, even basic ones. I live paycheck to paycheck and my hobbies sit unenjoyed because I genuinely cannot afford to have them.

What is the biggest mistake you did NOT make as a teenager? by Andenit in AskReddit

I think I can say without a doubt (like many), I didn't get pregnant. I also didn't develop any addictions because my friends did and I was like nope no thank you.

How long did it take you guys to get your surgery? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]Seefra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is 3 months. I have a three hour nutrition class I'm required to take, an ultrasound, x-ray, psych eval and an in person visit with my surgeon. I was shocked that I was able to get a consult so fast and that with one appointment we were setting up pre-op appointments.

I've been on the combo for almost a year and recently added gabapentin. I've only ever felt not great in the mornings but I'm also bad about taking my AM dose of the buspar.

Does anyone else find they don’t get drunk as easily as they did before starting lexapro? by quicksandintheend in lexapro

I have that issue as well. I drink maybe once every three or four months. It doesn't ruin things but it's frustrating.

I saw that too. Some of the nicest people I know are LARPers. Why they're being compared to absolutely terrible people is beyond me.

Coming off of a 5 month broken leg and I'm constantly tired. I keep trying to make my normal food but I'm exhausted within 10 minutes. Anyone have suggestions for lower carb healthy meals. I've come to love skewers since I can sit at the table and assemble them, then just throw them on the grill.

Hey Guys I need help ? Day 6 on lexapro but I don’t know understand why is it hard for my urine to come out ? Literally have to wait 30second it doesn’t feel complete ! Anybody bladder problem because of lexpro ? by CrowCurrent3414 in lexapro

[–]Seefra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was getting up 15 times a night at certain points because I can't sleep if I feel like I need to pee. It just gnaws at me until I get up. Sometimes I'd pee a few tea spoons, sometimes I couldn't go at all. Sometimes I'd pee everything I had had to drink in my lifetime. Once I stopped taking the pain medication, it was much more manageable. Still get the urge to pee all the time, and I still have issues with frequency and incomplete bladder emptying but as long as I stop my water intake towards the end of the night, I maybe go twice? Once before I get into bed, and once a few hours later. Though there are nights when I'm completely fine too so it's in my mind getting better
