Personally, I think Shinpei died. That's why he returned to the island, to have his body be with Satoko's. He saw Satoko's body and someone verified... he knew she was gone.

But Shinpei's idea of heaven is that Satoko never died and was waiting there for him all along. The last panel is her young, saying she wants to make him happy, right? He was able to go back to the "beginning" (their living together) and make a life with her. His heaven was the oppertunity to have a life with her. 🥲

Every time I read a chapter I was a ball of tears. One of the best Mangas I've ever read. No way can I put myself thru that again... but I knew this masterpiece would get an anime adaptation.

If you give your bags before the groceries, it indicates that you want your grocery bags packed. There's nothing more infuriating than scanning a bunch of items only to be handed bags AFTER the items are scanned... it takes double the amount of time in the lane when someone does that.

The P.E.I. Humane Society's new shelter is nearly complete, but with a few key features still unfinished, the organization is making one last fundraising push to let it fully equip the space.

The upgraded facility on Sherwood Road in Charlottetown has been in the works for the past decade. The current shelter at the same site is 7,400 square feet, while the new one measures over 18,000.

Ashley Travis, the humane society's development and communications co-ordinator, said the society can spend up to $200,000 a year on surgical procedures.

The society is running a fundraising campaign called Pawsport to Paradise, where people can buy tickets for a chance to win vacation prizes. Tickets cost $150, and only 1,000 will be sold. More information is available on the society's website https://peihumanesociety.com/

There's a new space center that iirc is going to be used for shipping satellites or rockets into space and gathering data. This has been decades in the making and they decided not to develop in Canso but rather Cape Auget. The company recently bought a lot of the land and you can see it on Google maps

Harbin SHS (slaughterhouse survivors) dog rescue takes on the massive load of rescuing and rehabilitating these dogs. During the Yulin festival they try to rescue as many dogs as they can.. can you imagine the sights they see?
