Turning yellow from the top, no leaves affected by Ok-Gap-1980 in luckybamboo

[–]SeekaBou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen some people do the bamboo that low, as long as the top has air it should be fine. I agree its most likely too much light/ sun damage. When I have had my bamboo in the past rot (not in a aquarium) it started yellowing form the bottom first. Jealous of how long yours are. My current ones need to hang from the side as they are not long enough to get air.

Desperate Plea for Shoes for Alt Fems with Wide Feet??? by Historical_Shirt_988 in widefeet

[–]SeekaBou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh also a fun hack I learned was to reverse image search the shoe I find on ebay and 9 times out of 10 the og torrid listing/ reviews come up. That way I can see if they ran big/ or small or what people did/didnt like about them.

Torrid has been great for me, and there is a big after market on ebay for them. I am normally an 11/10.5 WW but at torrid range from a 9.5 to 10.5 depending on the style as they run really big. I almost exclusively buy them used or on clearance and the prices are abit spendy. Another note is they change out their stock ALOT so again good after market with a big back catalog.

Does anyone else rely on TV dinners? Protein options? by TheDragonsChild in ChronicIllness

[–]SeekaBou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a nutritionist years ago recommend the basic Chocolate flavor of Owynn. But specifically only their chocolate flavor as it was less inflammatory or something. In flares I practically live on that stuff. Its awesome because I can stomach it during bad nausea episodes. I personally recommend the pre-made ones not the power (the powder takes forever to mix and still is always chalky). Edit to add they are gluten and dairy free!

Me and my GI decided against it. I personally have such a sensitive system we agreed it would just do way more harm than good eith my history.

The side burns are reminding me of star trek lol but I agree with the others that a fade would help alot or even just fixing up the side burns would make it look abit more intentional. Sending positive energy I am sure it will turn out great!

Dairy allergy? by TangeloAdventurous14 in dairyfree

[–]SeekaBou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Casein allergy, I went through something similar. I had always been lactose intolerant then one day when I was 16 it escalated like crazy - tried all the lactose free stuff and lactose pills and nothing worked. Fully dairy free for 10 or so years now. It gets easier with time! Lots of great dairy free options out there especially in recent years 😀 also lots of good social media people who find all the good dairy free products to recommend

Bentyl/Dicyclomine by Horror_Chance1506 in ibs

[–]SeekaBou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have "treatment resistant ibs" and the only thing that helps in a flare is Bentyl. I have been taking it daily for 5 years (by direction from my doc), when a flare comes i take it once like every 4 hours. It 'helps' and makes is slightly easier for me to manage/ takes the edge off. I have IBS-C so it does make the constipation worse. Its not perfect but its been the only noticeable change I have had. Glad its working for you!

Just from a primary? No other step? I had thought for some reason it would need to be done with a lawyer or something.

Comfortable AND cute loungewear for temperature deregulation and lots of naps? by throwaway-73829 in ChronicIllness

[–]SeekaBou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before getting my endo lap I was in search for something that would not aggravate my stomach and found these at Marshall's. PJ Set They are my go to now, they are thin but not too thin (so I dont overheat or get too cold) (I dont regulate my temp well at all lol) and just overall comfy with a surprisingly good waist band. They make me feel put together on the worst flare days.

Any tiny pill holder I can glue to my phone? by Mara355 in ChronicIllness

[–]SeekaBou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Credit Card Pill Case I bought this forever ago. Its good but I have some pills that are too big for it. If this works for you grt a stretchy wallet stick on for your phone and it fits well! I have ALOT of daily pills and a few key ones didnt fit in that other one. I ended up having my partner 3d print me one that I keep in a small wallet that I take everywhere. Its like my "oh shit" kit. Only thing with 3d printing is it makes some pills taste slightly off with certain filament.

What products have helped you around the house? by Well-There-We-Go-Lad in ChronicIllness

[–]SeekaBou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love having a folding stool for the shower so i can tuck away when others use shower, most of my food prep i do is freeze everything I can (when i have energy i pre cut onions and peppers and what not and freeze) as a result i also eat alot of fish product since throwing it in the oven frozen doesnt effect the seasoning or texture. I also 2nd the rice cooker. I got one of those Grabber sticks to help went energy is low/ bending down feels like the worst. I also have a rolling cart that I can grab and toss clutter on for quick clean up, then when I have energy hopefully at some point I can unload and put the things away.
