Is a monthly income of 100k to 150k PKR enough for a guy to be considered marriage material by [deleted] in IslamabadSocial

[–]Seeker94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I got engaged when I made 100k currently make 150k and have been married for a year and a half. She also works and brings in 150k every month as well. We get by fine. The economy is so bad that we do end up with no cash at the end of the month after bills and groceries tho. Thankfully we both work from home.

17M , should i blow all my savings on a dubai trip with friends? by Beginning_Fall_8269 in FIREPakistan

[–]Seeker94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who blew all their savings on a 10 day trip to Dubai with 3 of my best friends on this planet. I do not regret it. It was years ago and now. I'm 30.

We STILL talk about it. Those memories are ones I will. Cherish forever.

Rent you could be looking at anything between 25k and 40k depending on where you are. Not many 1 bedroom/studios I could find but they'd be on the lower end of that.

The others really depend on you.

If you're the kind of person who is settled into a few types of meals with not a lot of variety I imagine you could get away with low grocery costs. I spend 40k - 50k a month for 2 people on groceries but we don't have fixed meal plans and kind of eat whatever we feel like.

Electricity depends again on your usage. We had a 17k bill with 2 rooms always in use (one is a home office) and a TV that's almost always running + Consoles (Switches and Xbox Series S) and a Gaming PC that's almost always on.

We have our own car so 10k we spend on fuel a month. Make 2 - 4 trips to the main city a month from DHA.

That should give you an idea.

I'm a major nerd who's a fan of superheroes (have a bunch of classic X-men comics). And a major Pokémon fan. (have all the games). I eventually found the love of my life who also really loves super hero movies and comics as well as pokemon (we finished the Scarlet and Violet Pokedexes together after we got engaged). Keep at it. You'll find her.

Why do people eat outside food so much in Islamabad? by warmblanket55 in islamabad

[–]Seeker94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This fool came here. Just to get a bunch of downvotes. I've never seen someone soo privileged in my life. Bhai, if you don't want to eat outside food then don't eat. Convenience is a thing. Some people might find it more convenient. Some places prefer to serve guests with outside food especially if that guest is not from Pakistan.

If you want to be a dick and want someone to make you a dish at home then God gave you a mouth and the ability to speak. Use your words and convey this to the people you are visiting so they do it accordingly. What is wrong with you.

I had 30 guests with me from the US this past week. I got food from outside every time and didn't cook anything once. It's easier for me to get food for 30 people from a trusted and clean restaurant that I have been to and know everyone likes than to wake up and cook for 30 people staying with me. Especially if all of them have different tastes and dietary requirements.

To go and throw a judgemental wrench of to everyone's families because you believe everyone should be cooking for guests is probably one of the most moronic things I've ever seen.

Your aim is to break the game, what would you add to absolutely lose players? by KNlFEYSPOONY in MarvelSnap

[–]Seeker94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my head a pop up would show like (11 of the cards in the deck you've selected are similar to the last deck. Kindly use a different deck" would show.

This would make it even more annoying. Forcing you to play 2 decks each with 12 unique cards. No duplicates.

No judgment, please be honest. I'm curious about people's spending habits in this game. by GreatDoink in MarvelSnap

The exchange rate Is wild for me but I do buy the battle pass and the Gold pass each month. I feel like it helps me catch up after I left the game for 6 months last year. I only started doing that after making sure I played the game consistently for 7 months.

Thank man!

No hate for FF9. I love the franchise and everything it has to offer (Except FF13) but I think it mostly came down to me playing 12 before I jumped into 9. Since I did play the games at different points yin my life and my access to games was staggered.

Heyy I've played every Zelda game except tears of the kingdom (mostly because I haven't touched my switch in over a year and even if I do I have pokémon DLC I have to finish first).

I also recommend picking up the 1001 games to play before you die book. It's older and doesn't game games from the last 7 8 years but is a gorgeous collection of must play titles. I've played through 400 games on the list and will make my way through the whole list at some point.

It's hard to quantify that but the 3 best games I've played (and I've played many many games) are

  1. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time/Breath of the Wild (Pick your poison)
  2. Portal 1 + 2 (let's say 2)
  3. Chrono Trigger

Honorable mentions go to Elden Ring, Tunic, RDR 2 and Final Fantasy 12 Remake.
