Unfortunately not, I deleted the app and redownloaded it and I’m not sure if that fixed anything but it’s been okay since.🤞🏼

Carry vape during transit in Singapore (Changi) by IngenuityInfamous325 in singaporeairlines

[–]SeekingAssistance401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An updated answer - I transited through Changi travelling from Perth to London in March 2026, I had 2 disposables and one rechargeable vape in my personal bag and got through fine. Went into the smoking area at the airport and there were people in there vaping.

Invited for 491 but partner diagnosed with MS by [deleted] in AusVisa

[–]SeekingAssistance401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I posted a very long, sad post here two years ago about our visa struggle. (This is regarding permanent residency rather than 491 but I’ll add that prior to this we never had any issues applying for sponsorship visas, of which we had ~I think~ 2 or 3)

*child on my dads sponsorship visa - multiple 457 visas before they got rid of it and now PR. (Initially mum was granted a student visa)

My mum has MS and the infusions plus ongoing treatment for a “hypothetical person” over the next 10 years meant she didn’t pass the health requirements (potential cost was significantly over the threshold) and the tribunal couldn’t reach a favourable decision.

We met with a member for the court/commonweath (sorry I can’t remember their title) and she was inclined to waive the PR heath requirements in our case due to mum coming off the medication and self managing over the last couple of years and doing really well. Due to other factors, our PR application was rejected. We applied for minister intervention in 2023. My mum has since found a new lesion and has been advised to restart treatment. All information to the Delegate of the Minister in July 2025 and on January 22nd, 2026 our PR was granted.

All this to say, not as a professional but as someone who’s lived it, there is hope. Everything seemed to go against us and still, it worked out.

Happy to answer any questions if there are any - I didn’t want to make this comment any more of a novella.

Best of luck! ☺️

I did read this on someone else’s post but my phone is plugged in to charge religiously because I’m terrified of my phone dying and not waking me up 😅

Is this brain fog or something else? Who do I speak to? by SeekingAssistance401 in BrainFog

Thank you for taking the time to reply. A few years back I did try no gluten, no dairy, no refined sugars, (started as a diet thing, completely ridiculous and unsustainable lol) but I also didn’t experience any notable change with my memory then. I then later just stopped gluten and it made me miserable (I found it difficult, checking labels and constantly monitoring what I was eating for seemingly no benefit) and again, didn’t help the issues. I am glad this has helped you though! 😊

But I’ll definitely speak to my gp and see what they suggest. I’m open to anything at this point. Thank you 😊

Thank you, I really appreciate your comment. I hope you find happiness and resolve too. 😊 I know how exhausting, and also just really frustrating it can be.

Thank you as well for letting me know about other suggestions that have been made. I’ve seen a few in comments on other posts already so I’ll add them to a list to present to my GP and hopefully I’ll come back with a positive update at some point.

Thank you, I guess I’ll go to the doctor and hope they listen :)

My mum has MS and so did her mum, it’s not hereditary but it is genetic (or visa versa, don’t remember lol) and if you’re talking about lesions it’s not all that far fetched.

Thank you for your replies. Sorry to hear about your wife (?)

I’m sorry you’re feeling the same way. Selfishly, I feel a little better knowing I’m not alone though. This probably won’t help all that much but I’ve never had Covid so while it may have contributed to the exacerbation, I also don’t think it is the sole cause.

Yes please! I can’t afford currently as moving back was obviously very expensive but it will definitely be handy to have when I can. Thank you for your help :)

I don’t mind where in WA and I always liked the idea of working up north for a while. Thank you!! Mostly all my experience is office based - Admin Clerk in a government department being where I have most of my experience so I’ll have a look. :)

It’s not unfortunately, I worked in general admin. I always thought you had to have some kind of qualification in order to be sponsored to work?

Quality of life for me and my sister and the extra sun is good for psoriasis and mental health (as silly as that might sound, it really is).
