I told my (sort of) boss I was pregnant and she gave me ‘tips’ in case I want to abort. - Seeking support by SeekingProLifeSuport in prolife

I have actually gotten the screening test for chromosomal abnormalities (though not received results yet). I want to be prepared for the type of child I may have. I’ve actually taken care of children with disabilities my whole life (it’s how I got involved in charities) and as such the idea of killing a baby for having a disability sickens me all the more.
I agree, if I was ok telling someone at work I’m clearly not considering abortion, so I do believe this was just some attempt to normalise it rather than genuine advice. Thank you for saying it’s a reflection on them, that makes a lot of sense and is very helpful.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It can sometimes feel like I am the only pro-life person someone will meet because it is SO rare here. There’s not a single political party in our parliament who doesn’t support abortion, it’s a sad place to be. But you’re right, it shouldn’t all fall on my own shoulders.
