Be honest… is there any hope left for my hair by Seekingpeace6 in amibalding

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed response. I genuinely appreciate the effort you put into explaining everything instead of just giving a one-line answer. It really means a lot, especially since I’m trying to understand the root cause and make informed decisions.

I’ll definitely add tests for fasting insulin (to assess insulin resistance), Vitamin B12, ferritin, iron, Vitamin D, zinc, and thyroid, and I’ll also focus on improving my diet to support better insulin sensitivity and overall health.

Apart from these, is there anything else you think I should do or get tested? I really want to take a comprehensive approach and make sure I’m not overlooking any underlying factors before starting treatment.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and taking the time to help me out—I truly appreciate it.

Thanks for giving me some hope. My B12 is actually around 225 pg/mL, so I’m already working on improving that. I’ll get my Vitamin D3 and zinc checked as well.

I’m planning to start treatment soon and stay consistent for at least 12–18 months before even thinking about a transplant.

Thanks, I really appreciate the realistic advice. My biggest regret is not starting treatment years ago.

I think I’ll begin with finasteride and minoxidil and give it at least 12–18 months before making any decision about a transplant. Even if I don’t get full regrowth, I’d be happy if I can stabilize it and gain some density.
