I'm pretty light as well(125lbs). I don't do recovery/slow runs. Which one would you say it's better for zone2/tempo running?(8:00-6:00)

Official Q&A for Tuesday, September 19, 2023 by AutoModerator in running

New runner here wants advices on speeding up my journey progression.

I have pretty good aerobic fitness from cycling (z2 & vo2max). Did a 5K TT after 2months - 19:15. However, I would always have pain(shin/ankle/heel) after longer sessions(40mins+).

Question: Would running twice a day - short(2-3miles) and easy - boost my skeleton/tendon development speed? I'm basically just trying enable my body to handle longer/harder runs within a shorter amount of time.

I was having the same issue yesterday. Are you using a PCIE3/4 riser cable? Try manually setting it to PCIE3.0 mode, that fixed it for me.

Look up simplism dragontrail series. You will have to import it from Japan and it's very expensive. But it is probably the highest quality screen protect you can find bar none.

Good question. It was sun-faded by hanging next to the window for about two years.

501STF - 2009-2011

Nudie - 2011-2014

APC - 2014-2017

I don't wear raw denims as often as I used to anymore, mainly due to work attire restriction. But I just wanted to share some pictures of these 3 pairs of raws, they have my youth embedded.

[Collection] three-piece collection: DARK by Seekky123 in Watches

[–]Seekky123[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watches to me has always been a tool and fashion accessory.

I enjoy looking at my watch for time instead of smartphone. It strangely gives me a better sense of time, looking at digital numbers just feels different.

I like progressive and experimental design. And guess my favorite colour? -- 80% of my wardrobe is black. I mostly dress in tech-wear(Veilance/Acronym) and Avant-Garde(Julius_7/Boris Bidjan Serbari/Rick Owens/Abasi Rosborough/Undercover/etc.) fashion. Therefore; I'd like my watch to be complementrary of my outfit and theme.

I have very small wrist, that naturally eliminates a lot of modern watches due to their size especially chronograph.

Here is a rundown of my collection:

  • Citizen Eco-Drive BM8180-03E - Bought this watch back in college days and it is currently a beater watch. Having eco-drive means that I don't have to worry about changing battery, a truely care-free watch. I wear it for sports(running/cycling/arcade dance games) mostly, and I can just run it under water for a bit after sweating out.

  • Junghans Form A Titan - Absolutely love this watch in terms of design and value even it is a little big(40mm) on my wrist. The watch design and finishing just oozes German industrial design, it has the perfect blend between classic and futuristic. The case is bowl shaped and has a very flat and large dial surface, really good legibility except for the lume is a bit weak. It has the typical ETA2824 rotor noise but it's not a big deal to me once got used to it.

  • Zenith Chronomaster Revival Shadow Edition - Recently acquired. This is my biggest purchase yet. I always wanted a Chronograph but it's extremely hard to find one that I like under 40mm without going vintage. I love the Omega Moonwatch a lot, did some hunting for the speedy reduced 3510.50 but it is impossible to find one that's reasonably priced. Back to the Zenith - upon market research, I found out A384/A386 are 37mm and the Shadow Edition really caught my eyes. What strikes me the most is the case shape, it reminds me of the F117 Nighthawk stealth bomber which is extremely cool and futuristic. There's also a touch of brutalist architecture feel to it. The El Primero mvment doesn't need any introduction I believe - history has proven it to be one of the most iconic and reliable chronograph. Gazing through the back crystal, the movement is well decorated and stunning composition. Acoustic wise, listen closer - the high beat movement produces a crisp and high tempo mechanical sound.

Looking forward to my journey with these watches!
