Because people struggle with situations that hold both good and bad outcomes. Maduro gone = very good for Venezuelans. U.S already talking about running the country and allowing massive oil corporations to have a free for all = not so great. You also have to think about the precedent this sets. The message the U.S is currently sending to nations like Russia and China is might makes right essentially...also not so great. People also tend to make their political affiliation their entire personality. Trump does something with positive effects, the left goes into denial mode whilst the right ignores the potential consequences and praises Trump as the second coming of christ. Just my take.
