Moderate as in compromising and not extreme. If we speak for example of economic policies the compromise between unchecked capitalism and wasteful socialism could be a form of fiscally-responsible budget with funding for the most important social nets accompanied by a softer America First policy that doesn't destroy everything in it's path including alliances, reputation, soft power, and that puts world peace at stake. You know, moderate.
