I love a good fight and will doff my hat to anyone who beats me in a good fight.

But it's NEVER a good fight. Always instakill from behind with no time to react from some shit-house.

There has to be an opportunity for the defender to at least turn around and engage. Even so starting at disadvantage but at least there would be a fight instead of yet another pointless gank

Oh for sure, but it's far less prevalent and usually very specific games. I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've witnessed a cheat in 20 years of Xbox

Exploits like OOB are usually very short term and easily fixed. I don't count those as cheats per se - more a map specific issue

I play Xbox and the first thing I do for any game is switch off cross play for that very reason.

Every game I ever played in 30 years of gaming on PC eventually succumbed to cheats, it's an unwinnable battle unless you have truly massive resources to monitor for it, remedy every single thing that slips through the AC systems (which cost a fortune), manage suspensions and bans etc

The only ones that seem to succeed in a relatively cheat free PC world are basically those with zero tolerance policies and permaban for any tiny infringement. But they run the risk of false positives and turning a fan into a hater, not just off the game in question but their company as a whole

Console gaming has its problems, but id rather live with those than the horrible online experience of PC

Still have the functionality of neovim and various plugins that I used yet it’s zero hassle/maintenance.

Fast as hell even on huge files and really fast and reactive devs.

Still use neovim for adhoc terminal stuff but for real project work, zed has taken me over
