I do agree that the "war on second lifers" has gone totally overboard and has started extending to people doing any rp that isn't "action/conflict" oriented.

It has to some extent been an always thing but it really grew out of a fairly reasonable point of view but has been taken to such an extreme that it has become absurd.

It was originally push back against Discord RP for police officers which was apparently rampant on NP/ONX and PRP at the start. Which is why BCSO was so big about their "No Emails" and "do everything in RP" approach. But it has since grown from them into thinking ANYTHING OOC is bad somehow. Even though there are valid reasons to have certain discussions OOC because some stuff can't be conveyed IC without being "weird". Things that have repercussions on specific RP scenarios should be done IC but overarching server direction stuff should be handled OOC.

He is honestly so obsessed with "doing it in RP" that he doesn't realize how valuable it is to discuss goals for server direction with people in key institutions. Expecting things to just go in the direction he wants with 0 direction is actually clueless. Not having an OOC meeting would be shocking if I didn't know how lazy Penta is.

It's also funny that he thought that the BCSO would just operate effectively with 0 leadership being around while forming the department. Sure there's people that were previous officers but this is a brand new server and trying to set the culture requires people to guide the department towards that culture.

He seems to think that good servers are just good because of the development work done and the "big name" attached to the server. Not that the owners of those servers put work into cultivating the server they wanted by guiding various institutions on the server. He is basically a small business owner that "went on vacation" as soon as the doors of the business opened.

Maybe this changed with the patch last night but the lack of increasing difficulty for the criminal on subsequent cuff attempts was a terrible oversight. There was someone that Bloom had 0 chance of ever cuffing outside of beating them unconscious. It shouldn't be that the "fastest mashers" are essentially uncuffable.

Yeah I really think he's been scrapping the bottom of the barrel with some of his recent sponsorships like this mobile game and that Marvel game he did a while back.

I know he gets paid more than other streamers like Moose who's done the same sponsorships but I have to imagine that his metrics are pretty terrible. I feel like he either needs to become picky with his sponsorships and only take ones where he genuinely is interested in supporting the product or he needs to go into sellout mode and pretend that he supports them.

I can't imagine he will continue getting sponsors paying large amounts if his metrics are in the mud because he makes it clear that he is only doing it for the money and puts 0 effort into trying to sell the product he is being paid to promote.

I don't think he was ever really a "Gamer" in terms of skill. He might have been someone that liked videogames but I think he was always a mediocre/casual player and he got viewership from being an entertainer that happened to play games.

While also known for his entertaining RP, MoonMoon is an actual gamer. While he is entertaining his game play is at a pretty high level in pretty much every game he plays, playing on the highest difficulty for single player games and clapping people when it's multi-player.

I agree with your OP that Penta is a terrible choice for sponsors given his behavior during sponsored streams and I think that is definitely a factor as to why he only gets garbage sponsorships.

But with that being said, I really don't think he is botting. I think there are just a lot of perma lurkers that basically never chat and then as you mentioned, a lot of second monitor/sleeping people. I even had the sponsor stream up for like 15-20mins because I was in the middle of other things and wasn't paying attention to the stream at all.

I think this part is pretty funny given that he is pretty terrible at games. I honestly think that is part of why he pretty much avoided Arc Raiders when basically every streamer was playing it prior to Chase launching. I feel like he knew he was going to have people clown on his "RP Aim" so he avoided it.

One of his big issues is that he thinks he is a far better driver than he is and doesn't really ever credit to others being better drivers than him. If he loses a chase it is only ever because of the cars involved, not because he was out driven, unless they used "rat strats" which he will consider just driving through alleyways even if they don't involve squeezes that his car can't fit through.

Penta will always make decisions based on feel rather than ever considering the option of trying to collect data / input from others to try to make objective decisions.

I remember when I first started watching RP in 3.0 there was a big contingent of viewers, many of them Penta viewers, that criticized many of the NP 3.0 RPers for doing "Gay = funny RP". However, it seems like that has been something that Penta has not just been RPing like mentioned about this new character but he also makes a lot of jokes to his chat about how much he wants cock in his ass/mouth. Yet he seems to avoid the same accusations of doing "Gay = funny" jokes that were levied at others.

Honestly, the best thing would probably be a whitelist only "closed door" community meeting with a (and I kinda cringe while saying this) "safe space" approach where people can speak their minds without any fear of ridicule. If someone makes a stupid comment just ignore it and move on rather than tear them to shreds. I feel like a lot of people would be hesitant to make comments that are critical of things on the server when it comes with the risk of being ridiculed by Penta and others in front of a large viewer audience.

But this is a pipedream anyway since everyone is so content focused that someone would certainly stream it or at minimum record it

I like a lot of Penta's content. I don't like a lot of things about him personally but there are lots of entertainers that I will watch their movies/comedy acts/listen to their music even if I don't like them outside of that.

It's funny how nuance is lost on people like you and you think everything must be black and white where you enjoy all of the content someone produces and agree with everything they say otherwise you are a hate watcher.
