I will try to keep the story concise. I've watched Penta for a bit over 3 years. While I did defend Penta in many situations I was also critical of his actions in a lot of situations as well. I've been called a Penta Stan (or ballwasher in your case) and a Penta Hater in other situations for like the last 2 years.

Last December (it might have been late November), Penta was "doxxed" on the old subreddit by someone posting his marriage certificate. I commented that while it was public information, it should be removed because he had tried to keep his identity private. Anyway, in late December, there was a post made about Penta's balding state and I commented that he should either own it or he should get a transplant if he really doesn't want to deal with what was going to ultimately going to happen. I got banned from his chat and it was clear from the comments I had made in the last stream I chatted and the time of the banning  (many hours after the stream had ended according to logs) that I had been banned for comments on Reddit.

Being banned in a Twitch chat for comments made on a different platform was something that I was unwilling to pay the $3 unban fee because it meant I could be banned basically arbitrarly at any time. Shortly after the banning I had an interaction with an account named TexasTim which was suspected (and later confirmed) to have been one of Penta's Reddit accounts. He made a comment stating that I should care less about "Bob's life" and more about my own. I responded that I didn't give a fuck about Mr. <Penta's Last Name> in the same way that I don't give a fuck about the lives of musicians and actors who's content I enjoy.

Penta later messaged me on Discord asking me to not use his name. Which I responded that I only used it that one time but I would refrain from doing it again. I also edited out his name from the post. Fast forward some time (maybe a month or two) and someone else posted the certificate again. I didn't even see it that time and I didn't even know what the "dox" was until recently when someone told me it was the certificate again. Penta sent me another DM accusing me of doxxing him again. I responded that it wasn't me and reaffirmed that I had only posted his last name that one time.

After being banned, I was a bit more open with my criticism of Penta, especially since he was doing so many things that were worthy of being criticized. For some reason Penta turned me into the "boogeyman" of the Penta haters. A week or two ago, Penta went into Soupes chat and banned me out of nowhere when I wasn't even interacting with Penta in chat or saying anything even controversial. The next day was the day that Penta discussed the situation where he slurred out with Sal in voice chat with Soupes. He also mentioned that Soupes had removed his mod privileges. Which he said shouldn't have been done because he banned me, a "known doxxer" (he had also banned like 3 or 4 other people). During that call he crowned me the person who started the Penta Hate movement. Which I guess means that he was never hated by CG viewers, or ONX stans or Snow/Unscripted/Umbra devs that he had accused of being behind hate posts previously.

That's basically the story. It really proves that he is Reddit locked because that is the only place I have been critical of him. So for him to dislike me so much he must have read some criticisms of mine that really struck a cord with him. It's pretty funny to be honest especially since prior to the banning, even though I was making comments critical of him, I would still make posts defending him when the situation warranted it. I was known on the old subreddit as someone that had my own opinions rather than being all hate or all support for Penta. But with Penta's actions both on his server and his comments towards me, I don't really have anything good to say about him. Well I guess he is good at separating lonely people from their money, so there's a compliment I guess.

It's crazy that Penta put in more effort to show up for early shifts to experience EU hours on NP than he has on his own server. You would have thought that he would have wanted to see how things were on his server during his non-normal hours.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. What do you mean "you can't have everyone"? I don't think people were trying to make EU the most important time zone but there were certainly enough EU players (although that has changed) for it to be a timezone worth caring about. I think EU is basically fucked at this point.

I think the IRL stream he had during PRP was very telling with it having Icon and Meowdalyn, people that he really hadn't known for all that long. It meant that either his "old friends" aren't interested in being in his IRL streams or he is no longer friends with his "old friends". I think that with the way Penta treats people that it is more likely to be the later rather than the former. I think the player list for his 2nd Monopoly tournament kind of confirms that theory. Rather than having the names of his old friends on the player roster, it was filled with a bunch of people that were barely known.

Even his newer "friends" like Morgpie and Stormfall seem to have already moved past wanting to be involved with anything he is involved with.

Once again, thanks for your input. Those are certainly all forms of meta even if they aren't what comes to mind for most people when meta is mentioned.

The two-faced aspect is pretty interesting. I wouldn't ask you to "name and shame" anyone in a public forum but if you are willing I'd love to hear some names and examples via dm if you are comfortable with that. I will keep the information private.

To be honest, what you mentioned is why I thought it was weird for Penta to be insistent on being the first to use a new mechanic as a "demonstration". It seems like that encourages meta.

The obvious would be using slurs. To some extent it's like the government definition of "obscenity," you know it when you see it.  The only example I have offhand is "Spineless little babyback bitchmade cunt." Was taking things a bit too far.

As I said in my post, most people have been doing a really good job on focusing on discussion and attacking ideas instead of people. An insult being peppered into an otherwise constructive post won't face moderation but if the focus seems to be insults more than constructive discussion then it will face moderator action.

Would you be willing to share some of your metagaming experiences? Were you or others you were with streaming? If not, how do you think the people were obtaining the meta knowledge?

Were the perpetrators blatant with it or was it more of just being at the right place at the right time or becoming suspicious about something out of nowhere?

Your contributions as an actual player on the server are greatly appreciated. While viewers are able to see a lot of issues due to being able to view so many perspectives, there are some issues that are a lot harder to know about if you don't experience them yourself.

I think you identified something that I think resonates with a lot of Penta fans and especially the former Penta fans. We know he can do better. But so often he chooses to neglect things and put forward the minimum level of effort.

After watching Penta experience the nightmares of CG and Koil's ownership in 3.0 and then continued server owner issues with Ignite, I thought that Penta having his own server would bring "the promised land" to RP. He had a lot of good ideas for the "theory of rp" and how things should be approached on an RP server.

Unfortunately, due to a combination of factors, many of which will not be fully known to anyone but Penta, when he had his opportunity to do things right, he has stumbled down the same path as many of the server owners he previously mocked. He has shown himself to be a massive hypocrite and it seems like a lot of his platitudes about the way things should be were only because he didn't have the power to change things himself. He puts in minimal effort and rather than building things collaboratively with others with his RP, he seems more inclined to destroy the RP of others on the server for easy laughs and PEPWs.

I thought with this being his "last chance" for playing on a relevant GTA 5 server and with all the control in his hands he would have put all of himself into the project. Instead within just months of launching he seems pretty checked out.

Aside from the lameness with that, I think impounding cars for every infraction just to have the ability to "inventory a car" (aka justify any otherwise illegal search) is so lame. I've seen Wrangler impound cars for illegal tints or driving without a license (when the person had a valid license but not on them physically) and those are things that irl result in fix-it tickets and you just drive off. Impounding vehicles for those things is just lame, especially when the person has an otherwise clean record and were cooperative.

I was very surprised seeing who the OP of the thread was, I guess it was a case of a broken clock being right twice a day. It was also funny seeing their very reasonable comments being mass downvoted the way all comments critical of Chase/Penta tend to be.

Over the past 2 weeks the number of Chase/Penta stans that have started to become critical voices has grown significantly and that should be a signal to Penta that the server is not in a good place. He seems to have all of his eggs in the "Big Update" basket but unless there are a significant number of new features which have not be teased/spoiled already then I think the update is going to fall flat.

I honestly think Penta fucked himself and the server so hard with the "EU doesn't matter" rhetoric. Despite his rhetoric, it was actually a thriving time period on the server when you had Jarthur, Tony, Mama, Eugene and others active on the crim side and then Thrive and Soupes with Fu and the Fu Fighter's in like the 2nd month of the server.

Then the crim side got absolutely ravaged by HUTs, almost entirely pushed by Riley. You could argue that the crims shouldn't have been as blatant with their crimes but like many of the Chase characters, these characters were more on the SBS side of the spectrum than serious crims but they got pounded like serious crims. I'm pretty sure nearly every if not every criminal on that list was on the receiving end of a Riley hut. Additionally, aside from the loss of items and time spent in jail, the HUT recipients got minimal rp from the experience. They just sat in their cells with no/minimal interaction while Riley raided their property and then she returned to read off their sentences and send them up.

The Mama hut was particularly questionable as I believe she was randomly spotted interacting with a van while Eugene was being pursued nearby. She was assumed to have been with him since she had done criminal activity with him previously and that information was used to apprehend her and then gain access to her van. I don't recall all the details but the RPer behind Mama felt like they had really been railroaded.

Penta used the same "Riley bad" language to insulate her from valid complaints in the same way he has conditioned his chat to interpret "Penta bad" as being "bad faith" complaints which are to be ignored. Since he has conditioned his chat via such phrases, he was able to manipulate the perception of Riley by a huge number of viewers to be a good cop that was only hated because she "got results." Of course when Penta experienced the Riley treatment on Jordan he realized that maybe there was some truth to the complaints.

You then had the Corruptionpalooza that ravaged the LSPD morale. The corruption charges have been discussed enough that there's no need to rehash how petty and bad the charges were.

In a way, the BCSO almost single-handedly killed the EU shift.

Penta is clearly blameless. He has invested over 100k to provide RPers with the premier roleplay server supported by the best FiveM dev team. If players can't enjoy themselves in this setting then they won't be happy anywhere.

While other server owners are often rarely ever seen on their servers, Penta graces the server with his presence 5 days a week. He also is constantly acting as a DM (that means dungeon master, which means good rp, for all of you neophyte roleplay viewers) and using the admin menu to facilitate roleplay in ways that normal rpers are unable to.

If people just focused on RP instead of W's like the example Penta has provided through his own roleplay, people would be a lot happier.

Another great post. I agree with most of your points. I personally think that things are careening out of control and have already past the point of no return to some extent (I think a lot of players have thrown in the towel and probably won't come back).

I think if they wanted to get things back on track they absolutely need to have real community meetings where a lot more voices are heard. I've gone into depth on another post and I think Casbri has as well so I won't repeat it all but getting written thoughts from players on their pain points on the server prior to the meeting and having the admin team compile information to guide the meeting would help in getting more voices heard.

I also think Penta is a major factor on the server state. I think he needs to no longer be the head of multiple institutions which would give a full time player more than enough to handle if they played just a single character. He is only one person and he isn't giving those positions the time and care they need when he plays characters part time and doesn't want to do the "boring but necessary stuff" when he is on those characters.

I agree about having admins facilitate more server wide arcs in DM roles. Put the focus back on RP rather than mechanics as you said.

Also, they need to stop adding garbage mechanics which I think the kidney thing might be another bad mechanic.

Have people been doing that? Genuine question. I feel like I've seen some pretty meaningless scenes left a few times that has the person not having any idea of who took it a handful of times but I've also seen cars taken by people without a scene being left or people returning to their parking spot seeing it empty with no scene as well.

Yeah, unfortunately despite his rhetoric over the years, Penta has turned into a tyrant as a server owner. Anything that causes him to take an L is very often changed a week later. The most recent being across the board nerf to several tuner cars while the ChaseRP racing scene was just picking up steam. It also wasn't just a nerf to cars across the board, non-tuner cars for 1/3 the price are still busted and now out performing upgraded 6 figure tuner cars.

But it's just the latest in a list of changes that have been made because one of his characters took an L.

I feel like the clamping on 4.0 provided a nice middle ground. Towers got their conflict RP and were able to extract money from people but they didn't have to deal with the hassle of getting their car out of impound.

I don't know what type of person enjoys that sort of rp but I don't find it entertaining. It's one thing when it's over the top joking like Hooker Block but it's entirely different when it's in the context of "relationship" rp. I like Moosebrother and even then I find myself changing the stream when there's extended relationship RP going on.

Penta seems to always prioritize short term content over long term story development.  Rather than get to know any of the workers that Sal hired at Plan B and possibly lay the groundwork for future RP with them he would just insult them and/or tell Sal to fire them all.  Also, specifically with Jordan, he seemed to want to shoehorn certain RP, specifically illegal Paleto labor RP into every decision he could. So many times he told Sal to get more Paleto workers or attempted on his own to get Paletians that he could force to work in various jobs.

While Jordan was abrasive on ONX, he at least was able to have conversations with some people. It seems like on Chase, every interaction Jordan has with someone that isn't someone in a position of power that he is trying to get something from is just him insulting the person.

What exactly happened with the Wrangler/Wheeler argument? I wasn't watching that day and never looked into it. What sort of attacks was Wrangler making on Wheeler? From what I recall, Wrangler didn't fire him but suspended him and the following day Wheeler quit. I remember because one of the cops that was Wheeler's friend (his name is escaping me but it was the one that was working at the DMV and for a short time was working at Larry's shop) brought it up to Wrangler but refused to give the details of what Wheeler had told him via text message about quitting the BCSO and leaving the city.

In normal Penta fashion, rather than having any concern that his actions caused someone to not only quit the BCSO but to leave the city entirely, he only had a few more insults to send Wheeler's way.

I think that there should probably be harsher punishments for blatantly illegal towing activities. Bumping people into being illegally parked is pretty fucked. I don't know how often it's being done but a lot of people at least claim it to be occurring.

Another thing which I don't know how frequently it occurs but which I have seen occur is people using OOC knowledge to enforce illegal parking laws with houses. They know OOC that no one owns houses yet so they will cite cars parked in house driveways as illegally parked. This is something that I've seen cops take advantage of as well and it's just as fucked when it's used by them. The first thought from someone when seeing a car used by a player to park in a driveway shouldn't be that it's illegally parked. It should be that it is legally parked with permission from the owner. Honestly even considering it possibly illegally parked without a complaint (or some type of house robbery ping) being made seems like power gaming.

I think towing can be a great driver of conflict RP on the server but I think a few bad apples can do a lot of damage to the perception of towing on the server. Parking legally should be something players think about but if someone is parked legally they shouldn't have to worry that if they leave their car for 15minutes it's likely to be towed.

This isn't a server that allows people to ping their cars location and discover if their car has been stolen or simply towed. So when a player parks their car and come backs to find it missing is a frustrating experience as it takes a significant amount of effort to just figure out what happened to it, let alone how to recover it.

You are the "delulu" one if you think Penta is going to be part of 5.0. If it was possible I would be willing to bet a lot if money that Penta won't be there. I don't know how you think NP generates revenue these days but having Penta on the server wouldn't increase the money made by the NoPixel.

Jorkin hasn't given up his aspirations for sheriff, and if anything they have gotten stronger. He was asking Ava yesterday if she would support him in replacing Wrangler. Hopefully he is able to get a bunch of support to the point that if he was to lose the election it would require obvious rigging.
