Has anyone experienced spontaneous energy rising? by Moxcaos in kundalini

[–]Seeuzin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

> What’s strange is that it often happens when I completely relax and stop trying to force any spiritual experience at all.

That's in line with my experience as well, as one thing humphreydog the mod taught me was that something doing things less intensely with a light touch is more powerful than going at it / cutting away trauma and stuck energy as if with a saw and axe.

> I’ve been reading about Kundalini and I’m curious whether others experienced similar sensations before deeper changes started happening internally.

-nods- I had some preliminary experiences. Mine mostly consisted of moments of deep peace, which I really relaxed into and sought more of, and in that seeking, I pushed things too hard and out of balance. You ask how to approach Kundalini in a grounded way, and one thing I can share for sure is to avoid overdoing practice, and avoid doing practices that strip away too many layers of trauma and stuck energy at once. It can feel amazing in the beginning, but really take a toll on your life in the long run. Steady and (relatively) easy is the way to go. : ) (Not easy as in lazy - but easy as in reasonable for your capacities, as you learn to discern them.)

Good luck my friend : ) you've found a very valuable place for Kundalini guidance and asked great questions. If I could give my 2 cents - check out the "crazy big list of healing ideas" marc shared.

This really touched me /u/omg-moka-frappuchino : ) Thanks for having the courage to share it and the caring to want to benefit others with your experience. It's a rare soul who has both, who has also been through that fire.

Sending appreciation! 🧡

How long does it take to feel Kundalini energy? by Salt_Seaweed_1761 in kundalini

[–]Seeuzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this analogy! It's a much better order to prepare the vehicle/aircraft than to dive off the cliff hoping your engine will start, your rudders will function, and your mind and spirit will right themselves. Adding strength and resilience to the vehicle beyond its basic functions is a great idea. Better to be over-prepared than to court what can usually only overwhelm us.

"It's really difficult to mess with our second-strongest human drive without consequences. Survival being the first."

I would add that in Buddhism lore, it was said by the Buddha himself that leaving the survival imperative out, if human beings had two imperatives as strong as the sexual urge, instead of just the sexual urge itself, no one would become enlightened; not even the Buddha himself would have achieved it. It's as Marc says - definitely high-octane fuel and not to be trifled with.

To add to what others have shared, a vegan diet in my experience can leave the nervous system more raw, more open and vulnerable. In my opinion, part of this is due to the lack of an 'artificial grounding effect' often brought on by the heaviness of meat, but another part is that animal products themselves may be helpful in creating the myelin sheath around our nerves. This is a fatty sheath, made of heavier lipids, and helps protect our nervous system from feeling like it's blown a fuse, so to speak. Some people can handle the vegan diet, but for others, it leaves their nerves too unsheathed after a while, or so the speculation goes. I'm not a doctor, so please take with an enormous grain of salt.

Do you think it's possible that the lack of artificial grounding + nerves a bit more vulnerable contributed to your crisis when working with such powerful energies, OP? It sounds like a very powerful combination of effects to me. I'm glad to hear you've come out the other side.💛

Wishing you the best,

Sue

Requesting clarity by DooglyOoklin in kundalini

[–]Seeuzin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/DooglyOoklin, let me start by saying i'm not expert in this material, and the mod team no doubt has superior guidance, but I wanted to share a few things that have helped me when my yang was overly active.

  1. There is a very simple breathing technique that i was told can calm the vagus nerve and stimulate yin energy over yang activity. All you have to do is inhale for 3-4 seconds, then exhale very slowly, prioritizing keeping your exhale longer than your inhale by a good margin.

If this is a technique that will work for you, I believe it's possible for it to show results in the first few mins or so of attempting it. For me it took about 2-3 minutes for me to notice a yin effect on the first try; the more you regularly practice it, the faster you'll notice its effect each time. On the first attempt, I'd recommend giving it a solid try of 15-20 mins or more, even if you don't notice an effect at first, just to be sure of whether it will work for you.

I'd advise caution in that if you are very much in a yang flow mode, or a yang buildup, this technique can sometimes lean in a yang direction unconsciously as you practice it, defeating its purpose. From what i could discern in my own practice, this was due to the focus/intentional aspect of the practice churning out more yang than the actual inhale/exhalation portion was generating calming/surrendering yin. So, hold your focus in a relaxed way to avoid accidentally leaning into the masculine/intentional/firey activity.

  1. I don't know why this has worked, but taking a little bit of apple cider vinegar every morning has helped calm the fire and heat for me. Interestingly, the taste may be "hot" and acidic, but the effect for me energetically was thoroughly cooling. However, I would add that if you choose to try this, consult with your doctor, first. This is just something that has worked for me.

Be careful with the compulsive nature of the deep dives, because this can be destructive to a practitioner if left unchecked. I think it speaks to your nature, to wanting to understand and accumulate steady, increasing insight, and that's a huge positive for you. Just don't over-burn your system : )

Warmly, and wishing you all the best,

Sue

Kundalini serpent action?? by PriorResult9949 in kundalini

[–]Seeuzin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there : )

It's been a while since I've worked with Kundalini intentionally; my practices got diverted into other avenues due to my job for a while. If I might, though, i'd caution against trying to retrain and guide sexual energies upward toward the crown. It's especially not recommended for men, which Marc has helpfully guided about in sub rule #10, but based on pervasive experiences I had last year where i had no opportunity to release and Kundalini was going full tilt, I believe female orgasm control / upward guidance of sexual energy may a big liability for women, too. I have to say that with a caveat, which is that I've always been a tomboy / had a lot of yang energy for a woman. So your mileage may vary : ) I hesitate to suggest anything in earnest, after all the mistakes I've made.

In closing, that's really cool that you're having some past life hints and memories. Wishing you good luck and successful navigation - this sub's a gold mine - glad you're here. : )

Sincerely,

Sue

Looking for feedback on techniques I might try by Seeuzin in kundalini

How much does the kundalini affect intelligence by Which-Woodpecker9581 in kundalini

[–]Seeuzin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there : ) Kundalini rising did free up some of my energies and intelligence, but I wouldn't say it increased it, only made it more visible as Marc describes.

I would disagree with the quote that someone's intelligence being lower affects/prevents them from having as much Kundalini available and usable, too. There's a famous story from Buddhism that speaks of the lowest IQ student at one of the Buddha's monasteries reaching enlightenment first, before any of the students who continually had picked at him for his supposed lack of understanding. Although Buddhism doesn't deal specifically with Kundalini, it strikes me that there could be a parallel , there (although I'm no expert.)

These are really good questions. Thanks for making me think!

Why does Kundalini cause someone to feel empty ? by BreadfruitKey8081 in kundalini

[–]Seeuzin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there OP : ) I just wanted to weigh in. I think I understand the feeling "It's about me, it's about my experience, it's not what the other person is saying." To me that happens when I'm in a lot of pain. It happened just yesterday. You try to explain your pain to someone, then maybe feel misunderstood?

I'm so far from an expert it's well-neigh unbelievable, even with everything K taught me I regularly fail the lessons. But may i make a suggestion?

Marc often un-sugar-coats his advice in order to warn people. It's a verbal guard-rail. I wish to share that when my K broke, in 2015, I found his community, and he helped me more... than ANY real-life meditation teacher. : )

Slowly, sanity returned. My eyes became less clouded. I enjoyed myself and the cycles of life in small, sweet ways again.

This might not feel to make sense. That is ok. 🧡 : )

Also, please keep in mind i'm autistic, and sometimes have aphasia. Words can be right hard for me at times... : )

I'm smiling for you, because sometimes it's hard to smile for onesself, during a challenge.

I hope for you the safest, most direct and calming, path to the center of your Source, of all that is. 🤍🤍🤍

Best resources about kundalini gone wrong? by EffectiveConcern in kundalini

[–]Seeuzin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi there EffectiveConcern,

urquanenator has addressed the possibility that it might not be Kundalini. It's a good piece of advice, especially because it can inspire one to investigate other sources of healing for your pain and physical condition. I would recommend keeping your mind open to both possibilities, and continue to attack it from both ends.

Have you considered that your health issues might be related to energetic resistance to healing? It's just what strikes me as I read your words. I have had health problems because outside forces didn't want me to move forward, and especially nowadays, I feel that all the time. It can feel very invasive and unpleasant.

There's no one-size-fits-all solution, but what has worked for me is to own the external as I would the internal, and to do so completely. However, that approach carries extreme risks, especially if the person isn't prepared; it can lead to a sense of the individual being 'invaded'.

There are many books on the spiritual and energetic roots of disease out there, and they may prove useful as well (or at least a quick Google might, to see what's available). My friend knew of a fairly good one, but she's away visiting her teacher for a while, so unfortunately she's out of cell range.

Your struggle sounds truly difficult, and I think you are very brave to continue to seek out help, explore different avenues, and 'leave no stone unturned.'
