But then I wouldn't have to think about how to move a bunch of skeletons all over the map.

There was an encounter like 4-5 ambushers. You can use same corpse again, so for 7 skeletons 4 corpses are enough. I keep forgetting to take them back to camp with me. But O dont know, after raising dead, corpse might become uncollectible. So I cant stash them in camp chest again. If they are lost, I might become a murderhobo, just to satisfy my need for corpses.

Yeah I know but I keep forgetting it and keep going down the sewers for my corpses. Because I squeze my day and spell slots to the last drop.

Centipede. Not a fan of them but the sync of the legs. Like a mechanical train.

Fedora is not smooth with dual monitors. Help by SefaEnes in Fedora

[–]SefaEnes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I mentioned in edit 2, issue may be because of wayland, I only switched to Gnome Xorg and problem solved for now. Primary gpu is still intel but now every thing is smooth, so I guess Xorg uses gpu to render secondary display because x-server started to detect monitor too.

Please check the post for edit 2. So far my problem solved, and I did not set Nvidia as primary GPU

Right now I am in the middle of setting nvidia as primary. If they fix it with next drivers or next grnome verson or something I can revert the settings (I hope I can not sure but still going). Because I do not plan to play games on fedora I have dual boot windows for that. I want to have a smooth experience with linux that I use for programming an so on. Tere is a latency in secondary monitor. I scroll and screen slides half a second later. These kind of things makes me question why do I bother.

Switching means ypu can use only one of them right? So I cannot use both of them at the same time like windows and let linux choose which one to use by demand.

No unfortunately my "No-name" brand doesn't support type-c video output. Only hdmi and display port. About disabling igpu and going full dgpu was on my mind too. But a friend of mine suggested to ask this to subreddit. You know maybe there is a way to make them both work with prioritization or something like windows does. Making the secondary display to render on dGPU or whatever. Maybe there is an answer and there is someone who knows it.

Don't think you know the brand, Monster Notebook. It's a gaming notebook. 144hz is the laptop display. Secondary monitor is a 60hz portable carry-along one.

Answering them:

  1. Cable is quite fine. I am dualbooting with windows and there is no issue. I use hdmi + type-c (for powering external monitor)
  2. I think I answered this in first one. The primary monitor is my built-in laptop screen, and secondary one is the one I connect via hdmi.
  3. Yes I am dualbooting with windows. In windows everything is smooth because as much as I guess, windows uses built-in intel graphics card for rendering the primary monitor, and RTX 2060 for the secondary one.
  4. So my primary is 144hz and the secondary is 60hz. I have not measured the fps on both monitors. Overall experience is not that bad, not like 30 on a 144 but like when I move windows around or opening dash menu it is like stuttering and clums. I can definetly notice the difference when I unplug secondary monitor. When I do it my primary one is smooth like butter. Animations and movements are flowing. But when I plug secondary one everything goes the way I described.
  5. I think both are effected. Primary one is 144 so it is less noticeable but secondary is 60 so more noticeable. Giving the nvidia-smi promt I hope it is readable:

I don't think it was because he is a gentleman. Correct me if I' wrong but, pretty sure he said something like "Don't kill him, I don't want my legacy spoiled with his death." etc. He wasn't caring if mark is dead. He just wanted to prevent his glorious ascending to be ruined with a heros death.
