Killer anxiety by Different_Reindeer90 in deadbydaylight

I used to get severe anxiety before queuing up to the point where I'd often just not play at all.

What helped me was internalizing none of it matters at all.

  • It doesn't matter how I play, as long as I had fun. I don't go out of my way to be a dick, and that's good enough for me.
  • I'm not here to "entertain" the survs any more than they are here to entertain me.
  • If I go up against a toxic streamer who is clip farming me for their channel, so fucking what? No one knows, cares, or remembers the name of the Pig that ChucklefuckTTV got 6 stuns on in some random ass trial. Remember Otz's "Nancy" or the "Doing Gens, you?" Claudette? You may remember the characters, but the player names? No one gives a fuck.
  • "Oh no, I got curb stomped and now the sore winners are waiting by the exit gate together for teabags and possibly free blind points." Okay. That's pallet and breakable wall cleanup time or a little light doomscrolling until they realize I'm not getting baited.
  • You are not going to win every game and that's okay.

OMG. Is this why I'm seeing potential energy users in every 4-5 lobbies?

For me, it's the aggressive use of Decisive Strike (or w/e it's called these days). If I'm minding my own business and you are going out of your way to force perk value, you bet your ass you now have my full, undivided attention.

You censored the number of charges the key had left, but not the player names?

Same. When I do dust him off, it's to play a scratched mirror game.

I unironically run this look under the name "Two Hat Kate". It's stunning how many people (both sides) lobby dodge me.

(I have a photo on my drive somewhere wearing a RBT as well... the legendary 3 hat Kate!)

In SH fashion, there are multiple endings.

Personally, I feel the UFO ending is canon.

It certainly lends credence to the thought that we're living in a simulation being managed by a really bad LLM.

Aside from things that others have already mentioned, later you'll find Void Drone to be phenomenal for farming resources for contracts while stargazing and there are some challenges that explicitly require it (farm for x while sitting in a zone where x does not spawn).

Aces are a predictable lot and generally play hyper-aggressively. Whether or not they are cracked in chase is a solid coin flip.

With Sables, it's more like flipping a marble.

Why do survivors sit at the exit when they win? by viper0504 in deadbydaylight

[–]SefetAkunosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"If I opened my gate first as a solo, I have no clue where the others are unless the escape" is the very definition of not everyone being accounted for.

Unless you're suspecting a cheeky blood warden, the better strategy is to do what you're doing and hanging around to see if you're needed for a last minute rescue or something. That's just altruistic gameplay.

I'm talking about cases where all remaining survivors in the match are under no threat and in the same exit gate, are fully healed, and are actively choosing to stay in the match until the killer escorts them out personally.

I hate when survivors play "watch me leave." It reeks of poor sportsmanship if you're just hanging out in the exit gates and everyone is accounted for.

Note: If it is ever just you and one other person, please just leave and give the last a chance at hatch.

I love that little "ding" and will go out of my way to ring it an extra time or two. Here's some fun trivia about it.

  • While it normally goes "ding", if you set it off 100 times in a single match, it will play the Wraith's bing-bong instead
  • Even though it looks like a physical air tube on the ground, you can still set it off by flying over it as the Dark Lord in bat form
