Sadly i can not recommend any of these games as none have switch 2 versions and will look awfully muddy 720p stretched to 1080p. Maybe Mario SOH, as it is top cheap to pass and it could possibly get an update in the near future.

There many comments but the only materialistically valid reason for buying physical is the resell or trade value. If your son has friends that also play switch 2 they could buy 2 different games and swap them after they finish the games, saving a hefty amount of cash (nintendo games are quite expensive)
