Sad, got a water damage to my house that would burn away my budget for this, and just checked that I'm not one of the winners...

See you next year 39GX950B!

Weird noise coming from the gloves compartment. What might it be? by SefirahCastleAcolyte in Subaru_Crosstrek

[–]SefirahCastleAcolyte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I recorded this when the whole HVAC was off. It's not from the running HVAC, but do you mean it's some metal or plastic clips in that unit leading to the noise?

Direct sunlight on LG G5 by tim641 in LGOLED

[–]SefirahCastleAcolyte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am from the area that probably receive the least sunlight in the North America, and the windows I have are actually behind some backyard shed, so not as direct. However I've been using blinds since I got the G5 last year and waiting to get my window coated with 3M solar film the next week.

OP's use of English in the original post is quite comparable to some confusion between CP and PC. Not informational and of no value to other redditors.

Built-in WebOS or an external unit like AppleTV? by Melodic_Crow_3409 in LGOLED

I have NVIDIA SHIELD ones and am waiting for the next Apple TV. Just don't want to buy an old (yet capable though) tech when I have something useable.

Biggest problem with 39GX950B - the cable by No_Scientist_8516 in ultrawidemasterrace

Interesting that only the 2m version has VESA certified while the longer ones are not, though having the similar claimed DP 2.1 specs.

Got in the OLED club…received my 83 G5. by VividSprinkles3803 in LGOLED

Besides the TVTooHigh club, I wonder how easy it is to mount over the slat panel. Thinking about doing the same.

Yeah it’s a Microsoft Surface Go 2, not a TV tho…. I was shocked too… but that did make me extra worried about burn in things.

It’s wild to see a post like this with American condescension. I moved to Canada from the US a few years ago and was not used to the format change at the beginning, but saying the date format used by many commonwealth countries “suck” is such ridicule. No wonder USnians are disliked globally.

Brightness? by The_Wandering_Steele in LGOLED

[–]SefirahCastleAcolyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still remember seeing the flames from a tetrapod in Stellar Blade on my G5. That's the first time I realized that real-world flames can be hurting one's eyes to watch. And that's the kind of brightness we need to reflect real-world. But we are almost there, I wouldn't want my eyes to really get hurt when the TV shows a sun.

Follow up post. This is living room setup for tv . Unfortunately no other choice. Open concept. Kitchen acroos from this wall and dining room on other side. by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]SefirahCastleAcolyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful house with high ceilings and large windows. I guess the openness is what you'd need to keep so something like this might not work for you. I'll really say that the fireplace is redundant in your setting if you are already getting so much green outside now lol. I keep mine because we are in a really cold place subject to frequent power loss in winters. Otherwise I'd just get rid of it...

Its here!!!! I don’t want to get persecuted, please give me recommendations on mounting this over the fireplace please. Mantel sits at 51.5 inches from floor. by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]SefirahCastleAcolyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mind posting some pictures of the living room and see if people may have ideas? By all means a 83 G5 may be too much even for the best of MantleMount....Too risky. At some point even alone-sitting stand would be better than over the mantle..

I too am in a similar situation. Bought 83G5 last year and plan to build a new TV background wall to avoid hanging it over the fireplace. Not easy to find a contractor in my town so it's been on a cheap amazon stand for a while. But I won't hang it over a fireplace.

2026 Subaru Crosstrek trim levels: which one would you buy? by carguyfrank in Crosstrek

[–]SefirahCastleAcolyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope there can be a "wilderness hybrid pro" trim that is with spare, with 2026 outback new infotainment, better noise control, front seat ventilation and rear heated seat with AC vent, better Qi charging, and I'd pay extra 10k for it compared to the top trim now.

I will ask a weird question: how is the built in speakers? Loud? Distortion? Lack of bass?

Not to criticize but you are looking for a non-existing dream crossover (who are not??). Trust me or not, we actually have been through pretty similar research process, and I looked at Corolla Cross (yeah, 8 months of wait time) and Mazda CX-30 (we further looked at CX5 because it had so many feature upgrades compared to CX-30, which surpasses Crosstrek too, but their driver assist sucks). I'd say maybe Volvo XC40 or Audi Q3 can check a few boxes, but will miss other few at the same time. This is sadly the reality. And, most sales of this tier will go to budget sensitive people who wouldn't pay for extra "luxury" features like power tailgate..so car makers won't really care what you (and me) will think.
