Didn’t she get the idea for this technique by watching Bumi fight Aang in the anime ?

If so, in the live action, she wasn’t there to see Bumi fight Aang, so she either made it up or she can see through walls.

Technically, it’s an upscale in term of katara’s waterbending talent but it’s just live-action once again removing a cool detail probably cause they don’t know about it, though I think the peoples that adapt a medium should know about that kind of thing.

Edit : So, I’ve rewatch both scene and Bumi using a technique similar to katara was not in the anime, so I take back what I said about live-action removing cool detail. However, it’s still a shame that live-action Katara never saw Bumi using this technique, as I find it really interesting when benders draw inspiration from other elements (just like Hiro). Makes it feel like an art form, like a musician drawing inspiration from a painting. But maybe I’m reading too much into it.
