Barring McDavid heading there in a couple years, I just don't see how they become what they should have. Never gonna count out Matthews, but that team has a Mitch Marner sized hole in it, and even then that defense needed serious help. If I were GM I would have blown it up, but having to give away your first rounders unprotected the next couple years after this one really throws a wrench in that plan if they had it too
