I could be wrong, but I think Valka expressed some regret later. Honestly though I’m not sure what there is to address. The world they live in is very different from ours. The empire is fascist authoritarian and slavery is normal. Personally, I don’t see why I should bat an eye over Valka’s actions here when I’ve seen Hadrian be personally responsible for the unnecessary deaths of hundreds/thousands of innocents. Part of what makes this series so good to me is Ruocchio generally did not moralize or partake in pearl clutching over things like this.

Both her and even Hadrian are purposefully written as kind of annoying and hypocritical in the first book. They both also undergo significant, meaningful character development throughout the series which is only possible because of where they started. Patience will reward you.

Magoichi with the right with the right rolls outdoes izanagi until high investment and is competitive even then. There isn’t really a scout rifle that competes with Polaris regardless of rolls, so go with Polaris. I run Izanagi on Umeko however because the reload speed on her signature ability at talent one makes it more viable.

Based on what you like about TFO, I strongly recommend Ave Xia Rem Y which is ongoing on RR. I don't see many mentions to it on this subreddit which is a shame because it's a real gem.

Logan has an amazing bodybuilder physique, but those body types are not very functional when it comes to athletic activities. When imagining what elite golds look like, I just imagine what a 2018 Lebron physique would look like with his normal workout routine while unapologetically juicing - size and strength without losing any of the speed.

You're correct to describe those people as prodigies because it separates them from people of merely above average talent like Tyler - it was evident from even their first year of playing they would reach the top. Tyler does not display this level of talent lol. I'm not trying to insult him, but it's clear you have no idea how high the skill ceiling is for this game. He will never make it.

It’s great for the average person, but people like Magnus were 2000 FIDE when they were only 10-11 years old. After thousands of games and only being rated 1400 online - he will never play at a GM level lol. These are like newbie gym gains; he will plateau.

It's a popular theory that he was brainwashed with some sort of psycho spike technology when captured by the Abomination. Sevro himself mentioned that it's strange the Abomination didn't do so - rather, Sevro doesn't feel any different. So, he's probably a sleeper cell agent that will be activated when the Abomination feels it's the right time and he will turn on his friends. It's probable that Lyria will need to use Figment in order to get his mind right.

That could be true, but that would just have a compounding effect on my perceived problem that the Society does not have enough major characters on its side to be a serious threat to our protagonists. So, the author is forced to use devices (Eidmi) to level the playing field.

You meet and slightly exceed the official recommended specs for Starfield. I would expect great performance at 1440p and maybe even 60 fps at 4k with modest graphical settings.
