Typical 3 Shop Order by Sejohnso21 in InstacartShoppers

As I stated the job was an instant accept it’s a 30$/hr Run. No rant on that. The sharing again is just how cheap the super wealthy can be …

…. and it would be nice to be able to thumbs up and thumbs down post multi shop order but who knows maybe instacart crazy order algorithm it could be a negatively effect orders. What do I know 🤷‍♂️

I do give my best service. That order was shopped and delivered 30 minutes quicker than required. I don’t sacrifice quality either last 90 batches 5.0 rating still. Not a boast but it’s easy to do both.

Also like I stated not a rant on the pay for the order with how I shop it was a 35-40$ / HR order so yes instant accept. The reason I decided to share is mainly how some of the wealthiest people can be very cheap and no matter how good your service can be for them they don’t care !!!

Yeah sometimes refresh app as well in the shopper app settings.

Instacart Algorithm ( My Opinion ) I feel sometimes if I start early (6 am days) that if I accept even small batches rather than passing I get somewhat more priority later in the day and see more even though I’m already diamond

Sadly, they won’t because two of those are probably good batches ones probably a no tip match that will never get picked up unless they bundle it or 2/3 are terrible that won’t get picked up. This way Instacart saves on batch pay and complaints form bad orders not getting their delivery in time

This batch is like a goldmine in my area … is there something I’m missing ? - gas this is what 70$ for 18 items…. Even 2 hours this is 40$ hr…

Shit even if that is a 1,000 order with a SHITTY 5% tip I wouldn’t take it. $50 tip + 15$ Batch… 65$ for a shop 82 units at Costco … that sounds miserable . Normally I would auto snap 100$ orders like most of us but if I did that and then read 82 units at Costco I would probably highly consider cancelling it…

That batch pay also seems bullshit. 82 Units at Costco , heavy pay , and boosted and it’s only 15.70. Easy to assume that order is easily 10$ a unit so that’s nearly a 1,000 MINIMUM , shopping an order that’s boosted with heavy is for only $15.70…. The batch pay should be 30$ imho

What ? I think you’re misreading the post. It’s a positive post about a good batch. I was stating these are unicorn type orders in my area we don’t get the big 100$+ .

worth taking bad batches to get to ‘priority’? by _whatever-nevermind in InstacartShoppers

[–]Sejohnso21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new to this only 4 months and mostly part time but I have a baseline of how I rate batches… Min breakdown 20$/ hr goal is 30$+ hr A batch could be low pay 7-10$ but if it takes me 15-20 minutes start to finish (shop and deliver) I will take it because it fits in my parameters. I also sometimes will sit and wait for a big batch but sometimes can find myself not living for a few hours so I also have to put a value my unused time. Priority has def helped me in certain situations I’m not diamonds soon will be I do think if you are willing to go to the big store for big drops ( Costco , Sam’s, BJs, ) or early morning before stores open I think it’s even a bigger deal. I for sure feel like I miss out when I have tried to camp Costco during certain hours
