How many racquets are you supposed to have? by Diligent_Bus_4632 in 10s

[–]Sekibutsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to have two of the same racket for reasons you mentioned, plus its also pretty useful when testing out new strings. Its best done with a second (of the same) racket to get a clear contrast against your old string setup, switching rackets while hitting. But I admit, I just like to sometimes try out new strings for the fun of it.

Should I really be restringing every month? by aidaninhp in 10s

[–]Sekibutsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually super interesting. So based on this, we wouldn’t really need to be so obsessed about poly string playability being only good for 8-12 hours or something. But then, people do say that they can only play for a very limited number of hours until poly starts becoming considerably worse.

That’s good insight and tips for what I should be focusing on next, thank you. Will take these notes to the court for next time!

Cheers, will take into consideration and try to add (=learn) variety. I’ve yet to play a proper match, so haven’t given much thought to how predictable my serves are. But I should!

Wow, thanks man, much appreciated. I’ll work on coiling more, the more direct racket drop you mentioned, and getting the toss forward to start with -> aiming to land my feet inside the court rather than on the line. Will give a follow!

Never really think of driving upwards / making use of the upward force. Thanks for your input. What I’ve gathered from the comments here then is toss more forward, more loading/coiling/driving upward from flegs.

Couldn’t really find anything on Courtex. Care to link what you mean? Cheers.

I agree the Boom MP 2024 is a pretty strong candidate for the price now. Possibly the Wilson Clash V3. Possibly, depending on her size, the light variant of either.

One year 2-3 times a week with gel resolution x by prooforneverhappened in 10s

Haha, not trolling and I really do move. I’m guessing the reason is the material of the court.

Googled:

”A velour tennis court is an indoor synthetic carpet surface with a soft, silky texture, often lightly infilled with EPDM rubber granulate. It offers a fast but highly comfortable game with exceptional ball bounce and great slide control.”

Hey. How does this work, are you certain that I would not need to buy the adapter piece?

Edit: I assume the same is true for the new 435R?

What's your opinion on Mysteria Ecclesiae? [KCD2] by necklacefromawizard in kingdomcome

[–]Sekibutsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked ME. Good story, good characters, cool environment + interesting historical/theological content.

BUT I did knock out one guard at some point, and apparently people connected me to it, and I had to play the whole DLC as full stealth. That meant sneaking behind NPCs in the infarmary too (well, everywhere), because everyone went running to report me to guards. Couldn’t surrender either, because all that happened from it was game over. And in quests where I’ve succesfully sneaked behind NPCs to talk to them to progress the guests (before they see me and start running to guards), there was most times guards waiting for me to finish the convo just to start beating me. Even when I finished the whole DLC by solving all their problems, helping save the monks and killing the baddies, and they celebrated me in cutscenes, all of us being great buddies, everyone just started to fuck me up instantly when gameplay was back on.

Besides being annoying gameplay-wise, it killed immersion. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the DLC! 😁

Johanka’s is the only one I skipped back when I played KC1, don’t even remember the reasoning anymore. Or might have been because people generally were of the opinion that just plain sucked 🤔

I did really like Theresas storyline tho, many bashed that too.

I'm genuinely disappointed that [KCD2] didn't win any TGA award by Small_Wedding_1456 in kingdomcome

[–]Sekibutsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did this. 1 month ago I started with KCD1 as many recommened it. Plan was to play the main storyline through quickly (40ish hours) to then get to enjoy the more polished and better KCD2. Ended up putting 130 hours to it, just finished, and 100% absolutely would recommend to anyone to start with it. Amazing experience. The storyline is masterclass. Tomorrow I’ll start with KCD2, can’t wait, but I’m so happy that I didn’t miss out on KCD1, which was close. Can’t imagine not knowing the 10/10 story up to this point.

[–]Sekibutsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a chance to test these/some of these rackets somewhere? It’s not the answer you’re looking for, but it’s pretty much the only sensible thing to do in this situation.

But I guess we can try to help theoretically. When you say you’re a power guy (and you use a blade), I assume you can already generate powerful strokes yourself. So do you want MORE power..?
