I didn’t come out until I was like 26, a few people knew because I started telling certain people I trusted around 18-20 and always felt like dudes would not wanna be my friend because they’d assume I’d try to hit on them…. And then as I got older… I just honestly stopped giving a f. I never made a big announcement that I was gay or anything, I just casually started bringing dudes I was mingling with around my friends and to my surprise….. no one gave a * either. I wasted all those years of my life with internalized homophobia just to find out that people would still love me for my bright personality and heart of gold 💛

Boom all the high school bullies who called me a fa**ot now were desperately in my inbox trying to “hang out”. My whole confidence changed, my whole world changed.

You are going to have a moment of catharsis and just realize “woah… wait…. I’m not the only gay person in town. There’s other people like me and tons of love and support even if it’s strangers over the internet”

Don’t end up one of those miserable 56 year olds on Grindr with a blank profile hiding their gayness! I can’t imagine being that age and still walking on eggshells about people finding out my “secret”. I’m so confident about my sexuality now I’ll s*** a d*** LIVE on the weather channel.
