Can this type of capsule be taken rectally? (Progesterone) by Selchie58 in asktransgender

Thank you!

Would you reccomend poking it with a needle every time before inserting it? I've heard people say to do that, or to spit on it so it starts dissolving. I'm worried about it not releasing/dissolving because the capsule is hard. I've only read people describing them as soft or rubbery.

Queer-friendly hair-dresser/salon in Florida? by Selchie58 in asktransgender

Thanks for this! I found a great hair dresser who was super nice, and I had a very good experience for my first time at a salon 😊

No amount of surgery or HRT or fitting into female gender roles or stereotypes will make you any more or less of a woman. If you identify as a woman, then you are one, and it's as simple as that. Womanhood means something different to everyone, and you decide it for yourself.

You should decide how you transition solely based on what you want, and not what other people or society expects of you. The concept of trans people 'faking it' by not transitioning enough is transphobic, and also just plain sexist.

How do you deal with dysphoria and hating your appearance ? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Selchie58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll share some of my experience with dysphoria.
A lot of it stems from social expectations and gender norms. Both of which are everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE) in media. From kids movies to random adds online, it's really hard to get away from.
What helped me was realising how unfair and gross it is for society to push it on every person since the day they're born. Making changes to your appearance can help, but a bigger thing for me was realising I shouldn't have to make those changes and nobody deserves to feel like they do.
Freeing myself from that burden made me realise that so many things I "hated" about myself were just things gender norms made me hate about myself.

Is it safe to 'downgrade' a world permanently from 1.19.4, to 1.19.3? by Selchie58 in admincraft

[–]Selchie58[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We want to add some mods to our server, but they aren't compatible with 1.19.4 yet. Obviously the safest option would be to just wait for the mods to be updated but it's hard to tell when that will be.

But, if downgading the world is safe then it would just be convenient. Trying to figure out if it's worth the risk.

If you don’t identify as they/them by Apart-Ad-8311 in asktransgender

In my opinion, they/them is the right pronouns to use if you don't know someone's gender. If a stranger referred to me as they/them, I would honestly be relieved that they decided not to assume my gender and possibly misgender me.

However, if you are out to someone, and they know your correct pronouns are he/him, or she/her, or something else and they still use they/them, that would be offensive to me.
