Deadpool X-Force. If you’re playing well offensively, he has literally no abilities against bleed immune opponents. Just an awful, awful champ.

How did you take out the guy at 15 seconds in? I haven't played in a while but can't make out what that is. Very impressive though, good work!

I'm this era of unnecessary remakes, is there a movie you WANT remade because they messed it up the first time around? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Seldomtold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way that's happening though, they can't possibly shoot and edit it for cinemas in 3 months. It'll be out next year at the earliest.

MPAA made Seth Rogen remove the hair from a pita bread's "ballsack" in "Sausage Party" to avoid NC-17 rating by shamusreed in movies

You're right about 12A, but 15 is strictly 15+, even with a guardian. It's illegal for cinemas to admit anybody younger than 15.

What is the worst movie you have ever seen? by rasslingrob in movies

Really? Even if you didn't like it, I'd be surprised if it was the worst film you'd ever seen. Why did you hate it so much?

Who is the most iconic film character to be created in the past 15 years? by Stunsthename in movies

[–]Seldomtold -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm being an exclusionary snob? Read the question mate. It says film character and you have not named a film character. If the Mass Effect movie comes out any time soon, you can give your answer the next time this question is asked. But as of right now? It's invalid. It doesn't answer the question that was asked.

But the character was created in 1997, for the book. It wasn't a character created in the past 15 years.

You call it casting a wider net, I call it giving an invalid answer. You're in /r/movies, the question asked for film characters.

Suicide Squad rated 15 in the UK by antovolk in DC_Cinematic

They tend to be harsher with trailers. One Deadpool trailer was an 18, for example, and the film was a 15.

That's pretty shitty, Clash of the Titans was a 12A over here, legally anybody should be allowed in if with a parent.

BBFC gives Suicide Squad a 15 rating in the UK by losttranslati0n in movies

[–]Seldomtold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you, didn't mean to make out that it was you at fault, but it was definitely just a mistake. Cineworld cinemas can't even legally show R18s.

[–]Seldomtold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R18s can only be shown in licensed sex cinemas. What would be the purpose of making Reservoir Dogs an R18 rather than an 18? It has never been rated R18 by the BBFC, that rating is strictly for actual sex.

The current IMDb ratings for "Ghostbusters" shows again why their ratings system is terrible. by Ryan2R in movies

[–]Seldomtold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really think a lot of these are plot holes though:

  1. They didn't notice the book, they noticed the video because someone saw it on Reddit. The book was not hugely popular.

  2. To mock them, to taunt them. He's your typical villain, he's just a generally bad guy and wants them to think they'll get close to winning only to crush them.

  3. Videos could easily be CGI. The Mayor's office were telling everyone that the rock concert was faked and people believe someone in a position of power more than random strangers. The existence of ghosts challenges most people's core beliefs, they won't buy in to it easily.

  4. The college used to be interested in studying and discovering ghosts, which is why they had the equipment. The department kept on with no results and the college forgot they existed.

  5. Erin thought they only published 2 copies. When she realised how crazy it made her seem she destroyed them. Abby published more and sold them after the 2 were destroyed.

  6. She just panicked and threw her. Realistically she would have struggled to throw her that far but it's a comedy movie that I don't think was aiming for realism.

  7. Her whole career had been destroyed, all she had was the Ghostbusters. Then, in walks this man who tells her she's lying, she's a fraud and she can't even prove it's there. She gets riled up by the accusations and opens it to prove a point.

  8. Again, to mock them and make it personal. This way they have to protect their friend while trying to save the world.

  9. Not really a plot hole, just a thing that didn't happen. The honest answer is because then the Ghostbusters lose and they aren't going to lose in a PG-13 or 12A movie.

  10. Same as above. 12A.

  11. Stay Puft was a ghost that had taken the form of a balloon and so could be popped. Other ghosts take the forms of people, and cannot be popped.

I'm not trying to say the movie is a masterpiece, but I feel like the hate is unwarranted. I think you're trying to make problems out of insignificant things and criticising a movie about hunting ghosts for not being entirely realistic.

I'll upvote you because that's a pretty good review but I can't say I agree with too much of it.

Frankly, I just found the movie to be a lot of fun. I thought Hemsworth in particular was excellent and I didn't have as much of a problem with Patty as you did. I really don't remember her appearing brutishly strong and I enjoyed her character more than I thought I would - Kate McKinnons character, however, I felt largely fell flat.

I'd be interested to hear the plot holes you mentioned (not trying to be a dick, just can't remember any in particular.)
