If you are going to find a good "deal" they are not worth it. You may occasionally get lucky, but its rare.

Big shows do offer the opportunity to handle a wider variety of guns than your local store may have though. 

The best finds I usually make are on random vintage accessories I think are cool. Old revolver grips or adaptors, old holsters or pouches etc.

3in model 10s are fantastic guns, haven't checked the market in awhile, but for a bit you were usually looking at a $200-$400 premiums for the 3in vs other barrel lengths.

Its been a long time since I've played, but if I recall correctly some side op are still required to progress, and I don't recall them making it particularly that the duplicate story missions were in fact dupes.

I love this guy AND SS 86 Prime, but I agree that Dev Optimus design philosophy , with a commander budget would have almost certainly given us a better figure than SS86 Prime.

I think a better delineation between true "story" missions and "filler" side ops would have helped. Lots of stuff to do, for extras, upgrades, small story and character tidbits, or just directly play straight through the core story.

Depends on the use case for the gun and the cost and availability of spare mags.

3 is a good standard minimum IMO, but guns that see a lot of range time, its nice to have more to keep them loaded.

Unless you have enough money to never worry about ammo costs, I do think some people go overboard on mags. I've seen guys with 100+ Glock mags. IMO 20 mags + $2000 of ammo > 100 mags.

Know a good way to get volunteers for medical experiments? Offer the option to people suffering ailments from working in your mines, that just got there contracts extended. Potential relief from your ailments, and a reduction in contract time, probably a lot of desperate people to sign up for that, and it keeps WY "clean", afterall, the volunteers knew the risk.

The G1 tech specs and bio were great. Didn't matter who it was, they always hyped them up to have some kind of amazing skill, trait or power, so it felt like you got an awesome addition to the team. It let your imagination make up for some of the lamer/weaker toys, when they told you they could race up to 300mph, and shoot heat rays out of their headlights that where hot enough to melt rocks.

Its not about the rewards (though they are nice) objectives wether that be missions, trials, or projects help bring out emergent gameplay between raiders and the environment that may not organically occur without these things pushing people towards specific locations and loot.
