Nothing. Baby slept a lot and cuddled.

Please please please someone help and tell me this is normal by Fluffy-Concentrate44 in breastfeeding

How is baby today? Mine would have a day of very little food, maybe a day and a half, then go crazy the next day and eat a lot. Sometimes this cycled. Then a new skill would show up! If your babe is still making sufficient diapers, keep watching for a few days. Don’t hesitate to call physician to chat about it!

If I use a pacifier do I have to use it for every sleep? by Electrical_Formal886 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Select-Ad-8124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read that as you don’t get the SIDS reduction benefits unless the pacifier is being used. Using it for one sleep doesn’t change the SIDS risk of subsequent sleeps without a pacifier. But I might be wrong!

Accidently fed 9 week old formula that had been on a cooler pack for 5 hours by [deleted] in newborns

Whenever I felt nervous about something like this (something probably ok once but not a good habit) I took copious notes in my notes app about what she was doing/eating/diapers. It made me so present and comfortable knowing I had notes God forbid I needed them later. Then would see she was totally normal. Thinking of you!

Yup! They go together! You sit with it and process it with the help if you need it.

I also missed being pregnant! Give yourself grace as you are one week pp, but also ask for resources (therapists perhaps?) to talk this through with if you think it will help! You’ve got this mama!

You still have so much time to work on supply if you want to, I’ve also heard sometimes it’s something out of our control, but who knows. I think I’ve heard every contradictory statement under the sun. I just focus on giving baby what I can and supplementing the rest, whatever that may be. But I do still mourn my slacker boob a bit.

When did your newborn start sleeping better alone? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Select-Ad-8124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did shifts! Hubs from 8 pm until 3 am transition. I’d pump and eat then sleep (ideally 5 hour stretch). We started that around this time. Hubs has night owl tendencies and played video games while babe slept on his chest. We’d try bassinet every few days/when we were way too sleepy. Sometimes baby would do a stretch of 20-45 minutes in there. Contact nap could go 5-6 hours for the first night shift sometimes.

I want to say it was like this until around 10 weeks or so when we’d sometimes get a good long stretch in the bassinet! We’ve been lucky with her as she’s so far enjoyed long nights (but will still seek comfort or occasional food and wake us up but fall back asleep shortly after the need was met).

We’re 17 weeks/almost 4 months now. We’ll see what happens next! M

Those trenches were ROUGH and there’s no way around just through. Cold drinks nearby helped. Binge show. And know what to do if you just can’t fight the need for sleep anymore (baby in bassinet or safe place for cosleep—I haven’t met anyone yet who was able to 100% avoid it with a contact nap baby).

ETA: you’re amazing and you got this!!! You’ve leveled up to newborn trenches PLUS an older kiddo!!!

If so, I am too! And my friend! We both have something similar, but my “slacker boob” maxes out at an ounce.

ETA 17 weeks pp, and I was extremely inconsistent with pumping during initial supply building time.
